slightly disappointed with dull grubby hotel entrance and reception. Rooms were very dusty but ok, perhaps hadn't been used in a while. Wee bit too far from centre Helsinki and hotel bar was very expensive 13 Euro for spirit and coke. breakfast was usual continental but chairs were stained and slightly off putting. I recently stayed at the Scandic Continental in Helsinki during a business trip. It is a very old hotel. We only stayed here because the conference organizers booked us at this hotel - otherwise, I would not recommend it. While the location is nice - between the Opera and Orchestra Halls and near a major park - it's very outdated.
