I've been in this hotel for meeting several times. For a traveler the location is not perfect. If you are in for business it does not really pay any role where your hoitel is located - as long as it's easy access to where you should alredy be in. There is a nice market place (Hakaniementori) next to the hotel... more
We used this hotel just as an overnight before leaving to Tallinn, so we didn't want to spend a great amount of money, but wanted a luxurious property somewhere in the city. Hilton seemed to be a well regarded establishment, so we chose this one. Upon arrival we were warmly -for a hotel in north Europe- and in no time... more
i hosted a distributor meeting here for about 30 clients. although a little pricey, we definitely were treated well. i was very impressed with the staff and the organization of the meeting. the only trouble i had was a double charge on my credit card by one of the front desk agents which took 3 months and a bank claim... more
Delightful stay in a lovely large room overlooking the water. The buffet breakfast had lots of variety, fresh fruits, great breads/rolls, and smoked salmon. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. It was fun to go to the local farmers market and mass transit was only a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Quiet,, professionally run, relaxing hotel. Our room... more
The Hilton Helsinki Strand is very easy to find from the airport and the city. You will be able to walk over to the Hakaniemi Metro stop where you will find the trams and a market of food stalls and gift shopping. The hotel is very business orientated, and the rooms are very clean as well as comfortable. The staff... more
I've stayed here twice in the last 2 weeks. First time I was in a 'standard' room which was nice enough but 20 euro for an interent connection and 25 euro for breakfast (and neither of these rates were vsisble to anyone from what I could find)!!!! OK, I suspect very few people staying here is paying for it themsekves... more
Pros: - Service is EXCELLENT at this hotel. They know how to treat business customers down to the T: special requests, longer hours in the executive lounge, special meals, 24 hour gym - Immediate cabs in peak times: the strand has a contract with the cab companies. So, cabs will come even during the peak hours 8-10AM. Meaning no reservations... more
Nice but smal rooms/ bathrooms, no noise from outside, no minimalistic Scandinavian design, a good breakfast in the lobby-restaurant, reasonably close to the centre and public transport is nearby. Friendly service with a little bit extra but then again you may expect this from Hilton. Walking is a perfect way to explore this city, use the HelsinkiCard when you stay... more
The Hilton Helsinki Strand was a very nice hotel for the money. I’m very happy with my stay, the location was also not bad at all, right on the water, and only a 10 min walk to the city center. There is also a dock right outside the front doors, you can take a ride over to the Zoo island,... more
