We stayed here for two nights in April 2009. The location was better than expected, conveniently quietly located. It is about a 10mins walk to both Central Railwaystation as Senate square and both the underground as the airport bus are about 100 meters from the main entrance. Check-in was professional though not very personal - we got an upgrade to... more

We stayed here for one night and we were not overly impressed. Staff The staff were delightful but then I think it's probably rather difficult to find a Finn who is not delightful! Room The room was large, but very dated. The beds were quite comfortable but there was no view from our room at the back of the hotel.... more

Good choice.

Three nights here in March 2009. The location is fine, right on many tram lines or a not very long walk to sights. Wasn't really bothered by the so-called "dated" design. Rooms were clean and functional. Executive lounge was fine. Pretty typical breakfast food. If I return to Helsinki later this year I will definitely stay here again. more

The hotel has a relatively good location, but there are plenty of others that are much, much better. The hotel room was ok, but the restaurant more than disappointing. Very limited selection (much more limited than in other Hilton hotels) and extremely expensive. The swimming pool is a joke (1.2m deep with max 12m long). I much more preferred the... more

Stayed there for one night in November’08. This hotel was considered to be the best one in Helsinki before the hotel Kämp was opened. Now it is slightly beginning to show its age in some parts of the hotel, but no real issues as such though. Had an Executive Room in 7th floor which wasn’t really spectacular in any way,... more

I arrived during a snow storm, to see the cosy fire at the lobby. The hotel was clean and the style is comfortable and resembled of - well, yes, outdated luxury. I had a spacious room with a good large bed and splendid view towards the sea. Everything worked just fine. I also liked the calm atmosphere at breakfast. The... more

Lets face it - this hotel is 1970's fantastic. I've never seen so much wood paneling in a hotel! They do have wireless internet access and a good business center. My room was big, and comfortable with a great view of the water. The hotel is in a good central location and I would consider staying again. Don't plan on... more

The reviews of the hotel seemed quite good - quite disappointing really. We arrived and we were 2 people looking for a double room and a single. The bed was tiny, like just bigger than a single and they said that it was a standard room - of all I the hotels we have stayed in, this is the smallest... more

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and I really like the location. The staff are very friendly and helpful and I've never had a problem. The room rate includes breakfast which is OK but the cooked breakfast is average but you can ask for something cooked to order Executive Lounge is very good and nice views over... more

The reviewer who complained about this hotel not being convenient for travellers must have an aversion to public transportation. The hotel is no more than a block from a metro station, which is two stops away from the main train station downtown. From that point, it is easy to walk or take a tram almost anywhere in the Helsinki tourist... more
