After looking at the online reviews I had wanted to book the Sokos Presidentti, Helsinki, but since it was unavailable for my visit, I ended up staying at the Sokos Helsinki... It was a very pleasant surprise, to find a hotel right in the hub of everything. The market square, the Stockmann department store and even the central railway station... more

Been there for 3 days in last April. Booked through internet, I really liked the fact that they don't ask your credit card number when making the reservation. Check-in was fast and without worries. Great location in the city centre, rooms with a good size, comfy bed. Didn't like the size of the bathroom (very small). The cleaning need to... more

We arrived in Helsinki for a conference, and had booked on-line for a simple double room. Out of our surprise, we were given an ensuite room of at least 60m2. The location is very near to the central train station, you can simply walked to the hotel with your luggage. The reception area is small but cozy. Staffs are friendly... more

I stayed in Sokos Hotel Helsinki for one night with my wife in February 2009 for a short weekend getaway. This hotel is very centrally located in the very heart of Helsinki. Excellent location! The rooms have been tastefully renovated and our room was spacious, nicely organized and clean. Nothing to complain about in a 3 star hotel. The reception... more

I stayed here for a couple of nights recently with some girlfriends, and overall thought the hotel was good. It is close to the main train station where the airport bus pick up/drop off is located, so an easy walk. The rooms are a decent size, although the bathrooms are a little pokey, and were not too noisy. We were... more

Me and some friends arrived in Helsinki as part of a tour of the area and were using Helsinki basically as a stop over. The city itself is delightful and left us regretting that we hadn't arranged to stay for longer. The people of Helsinki we found to be the friendliest we have experienced and this certainly includes the hotel.... more

This hotel is in a great location in Helsinki, in the centre of all the shops, easy tram access and short walk around the corner to main square/railway station. The ice rink which was there during my stay was fantastic! The rooms in the hotel were very good, modern and clean. I found the wireless internet really handy and FREE!... more

I enjoyed my one night stay at this hotel in Sept 2007. My room was facing the street and sure there was some noise but it didn't bother me. I heard nothing from the night club. I slept very well. The room was very nice with everything I needed. Breakfast was crowded, I had trouble finding a free seat but... more

This hotel has many fine qualities - not least it's marvellous location, a few short steps from Senate Square, the Esplanadi and all the city centre's amenities. Our room was clean and comfortable and the reception staff were welcoming and helpful. All of which makes it a real shame I can't recommend staying here. The ground floor Helsinki Club (open... more

I would echo the concerns voiced below regarding the noise level at this hotel. Unless you are a heavy sleeper, ask for a room facing the courtyard rather than the street and you will be much happier. We spent two semi-sleepless nights despite the fact that the Helsinki Club, which occupies the same building, was not in operation. Local post-bar... more
