The room was small but that didn't bother us. It was clean and modern and excellently located so that mattered more! Cool system where there's no lobby or anything, they just send you the code for your room. But if you need to speak to someone, they're available 24/7 on the phones located in the hallways. Definitely recommend for a... More

Could not turn off the condition and windows can't be opened. Otherwise nice neat large room with hairdryer, microwave, TV, tea and coffee. Not too expensive. Delicious breakfast. Geographycally well situated - 5 min to all largest shopping malls, Kampi, Sokos, Stockmann, to Railway station, Kiasma, city center.

I like the booking system and simple procedure. clean, simple, enough space. WIFI . Good location in walking distance of central attractions. Relatively quiet street, plenty of amenities in the neighborhood.

Rooms were clean and relatively large. Initially thought we had a nice hotel, until we realized how hot and stifling the rooms are. Thermostat dial did nothing. Windows cannot be opened. No fan. Outside temperature was 14 C (57F) and rainy for two days and yet is was like a sauna in our room. Talked to others from our group... More

Hi Jeff Z, and so sorry that your stay wasn't of the best quality. We have been looking into possible solutions on the warmth issue in the hotel and as I understood, the main equipment that handles the temperatures on the other side of the hotel was broken and has as of a week or two back been replaced. I... More

We stayed one night in this hotel with our kids. Room was clean and good on basic level -as rooms in Omena chain usually are. Best about this hotel is it's great location! Only downside was the kettle: there is an electric kettle but no table or shelf where the power cord would reach the wall outlet -so I held... More

The Omena hotel chain, which I'm guessing is a Finnish chain (it has ten hotels in Finland, two in Helsinki and one each in Stockholm and Copenhagen – see Omenahotels.com for details) is a real find for budget-minded travelers like me who can live with minimalist comfort, but do like hotels with rooms that have, well, room. and are conveniently... Hey Countryboy41, And thank you so much for taking the time to write the review! I'm glad to hear that your overall experience in the hotel was good but it does bug me a bit that you had trouble reaching our Helpdesk, although great that the cleaning personnel helped you out. We have one Helpdesk phone in both of the... More

We booked this place for position to city centre and reasonable price. After a thirty hour trip we arrived exhausted and in need of a good rest. While organising our luggage and codes for our room we noticed we could not open the window for some fresh air. Even though exhausted asked a staff member who told us that the... More

Hi Leonie P, And so sorry to hear that your stay wasn't of the best quality. We have been checking our air-ventilation systems during this spring and with the Omenahotel in Helsinki, Lönnrotinkatu 13, there has been a longer hold-up with getting some answers on what is possible to be done to make it better. Security reasons also stops us... More
