This is a fantastic hotel. The decor and facilities are top class, the location very convenient for all the sights and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Much more personal than the larger chains and can't fault anything. Small but high quality breakfast and excellent wifi speed. Unlikely to consider anywhere else next time in Helsinki.

We stayed in late July 2013. Great location, easy walking distance to Esplanade, harbor, restaurants. Best of all was the staff and how helpful they were. They were amazing when we had to deal at length with problems with our flights back to the US--helpful, patient, encouraging. They also were very helpful in finding restaurants, when many were closed for... More

Unobtrusive and individualistic boutique hotel down a long side street about 5 minutes walk away from the more select part of the city centre. The lobby was tidily designer, with a reception manned by polite and efficient young staff. We had a stylish Lux suite just off the ground floor patio. We had asked for a quiet location, and didn't... More

We stayed 2 nights in the Hotel Fabian and what else can I say other than... amazing. Was nice to get off a 27hr flight from Sydney into such a nice establishment and be welcomed so warmly into the city. The room is well appointed with great comfortable beds, great shower\bathroom. The guys at the front desk pointed us towards... More

I have stayed at this hotel couple of times and both experiences were perfect. Firstly, their rooms are brilliant. Good design, excellent beds and a very personal style. On my second stay I had a suite with own entrance from the yard which was perfect for our small celebration of my friend. Secondly, Im even more surprised with the focus... More

99% of the time I stay at Marriott as consistency is good. With no Marriott in Helsinki, I tried the Fabian Hotel. Beautifully decorated, immaculately maintained, and the staff are exceptional. Sara Virkkala at the reception desk provided an excellent recommendation for a business dinner - very impressive staff. I would give Sara and her colleagues at the reception desk... More

Fantastic find! While it's a boutique hotel, the rooms are anything but! Surprisingly spacious with gorgeous fittings and luxurious furnishings, it was a lush stay! Service was wonderfully warm( thanks Riko!) and breakfast spread was an ample variety. Close proximity to everywhere including a supermarket. About a 15-20min walk to the central station but cuts through the main shopping district... More

What a gem! Staff exhibited the perfect blend of professionalism and warmth. The room (we stayed in a Comfort) was plenty big for two of us, the bed was comfortable and it was extraordinarily QUIET! And, you really can't beat the location! You can walk most anywhere in the center of the city. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic. Fresh fruit,... More

Normally I reserve 5 stars for the full service hotels but to give this hotel fewer stars would suggest they were doing something wrong, and they don't. This hotel lacks a restaurant, an on-site spa and shop, but it is a great little boutique hotel. The rooms are inviting, the beds comfy, the staff professional and helpful, the location excellent,...
