Booked one night at Hotel Fabian as our first stop for our honeymoon trip, and the hotel staff has been very kind to have upgraded us to a bigger room, with a congratulation card and a box of chocolate to welcome us. It was very sweet of them to have prepared that. Hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful with... More

Nothing too fancy - but nothing bad. A great place to stay for a couple of nights or so. We were heading up to the Article Circle and stayed for 2 nights in transit? It was a perfect choice. Room was comfortable, bed n doona were good quality, shower was exceptionally good, no complaints. Room felt cosy - even with... More

Nice rooms, complicated bedlights. Swimming mattresses. But pleasant room. However, very crowded and tight breakfast room. Breakfast fine but area too small. Extremely complicated TV remote and non-working WiFi through and iPad

We arrived by bus from the airport so walked to the hotel. It took a bit less than 20 minutes but we were dragging our suitcases through gravel laid because of the snow so it was probably slower than it would have been minus the gravel. (We really must get some 4WD suitcases!). We had a nice welcome from reception... More

Fabian deserves its top ranking, without a doubt. The decor was very chic but cosy and comfortable at the same time, and my room was a very good size. The location was off the main street which meant it was quiet and there was a big supermarket just a stone's throw away. The city center was about 5 mins walk... More

My goodness! For a city I had added last minute and not knowing the language, much about the city, I was in for a real treat! The hotel's location is not centrally located for what I usually like, the walk is not so bad and only about 5-10 minutes from where its all happening. The hotel is boutique style which... More

We arrived in Helsinki during what we quickly learned was the biggest heatwave in 110 years. We had booked one of the Style Rooms, which are beautifully designed (as is the entire hotel) and quite spacious with fantastic bathrooms. Our room was 510 and it had a small, hotel-courtyard-facing balcony. Because it was SO unusually hot outside, and a/c is... More

I found that it was a bit difficult to find an hotel that was not too large and at the same time nice in Helsinki. Hotel Fabian met both criterias. It is close to evrything in the centre, doesn't have too many rooms, the price is reasonable (or at least was in january 2015). The breakfast is really nice, and... More

Stayed here for a 2 nights as we were going to a gig. 3 of us stayed in a Lux room. Large, quiet and modern! Perfect in fact. Short walk to city centre 5 mins. Excellent breakfast. Lots of fresh fruit, meat, cheeses, breads etc. Super friendly and helpful staff. Couldn't fault it. They even let us have a late... More
