Yes folks - I finally saw the northern lights, and I achieved it without realising I would! (And having tried before, I now realise that is probably the way it often is). I saw the northern lights from the grounds of this hotel. The main hotel area, is surrounded by approximately 30 cabins distributed amongst the trees. The rooms are very... More

We stayed here one night on our journey to the Northern Cape. We didn't reserve, which wasnt a problem at all. We took the smallest chalet available, which was decently priced compared to hotels but offered much more. The chalet was nice and clean and had it's own sauna, a kitchenette, and a spacious bathroom. The free breakfast was included... More

This review is for the sauna facility offered by Chalet Hotel. When my friend and I showed up in Rovaniemi we wanted to visit a sauna but did not want to pay a bunch of money. Most of the excursions cost between 80 - 100 euros. The sauna at Chalet Hotel only cost 5 euros if you had your own... More

After a 12 hour drive from Bodo, we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist (Igor) who greeted us and explained the facilities available to us. Our villa had 4 bedrooms, with comfortable and clean bedding, a nice sauna and towels. Plenty of bbq areas are scattered around the property, including a very pretty one next to the lake. Logs... Stayed for a total of two nights in a nice cottage. Room was large by European standards and beds were comfortable and bathroom very nice. Breakfast buffet was adequate. Need a car to stay here as the location is away from downtown. The front desk staff was helpful. During the summer hotel restaurant is closed for dinner but found another... More

This hotel is a short distance out of town, at the foot of some ski slopes/ski jumps. Our cabin was comfortable, had a small kitchen and its own sauna which worked well. The beds were comfortable, and the buffet breakfast was pleasing with a variety of food. The surroundings were lovely, and we even got to see a young woman... More

Amazing place to stay while you visit the magical Lapland. Our room was with private sauna, silent. Really tidy and clean, had small kithchennete. The hotel's restaurant Thulia is really great. We had once in a life time visit! Thank you. One thing is that the hotel is out of the city. Although most of the traveling companies pick you... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights during our Scandinavia roundtrip. Our apartment was big and clean. It had two floors so at least four people could stay in it. Our apartment was one half of a big cottage and car could be parked directly infront of it. Beds were very huge. Bathroom was OK (seemed already a bit... More

Front desk was very helpful, Igor was at the desk, very personable. The room was clean and easy to get to. The breakfast was exceptional. Lots to eat at a time when it was not crowded at all. The evening desk clerk was not as personable. She seemed to just do her job. Still a very good expereince.

We got superior cottage and it was awesome - clean, spacious and looked fresh. but the best thing was sauna! Great thing when it's cold and rainy outside. It was not a high season yet when we came and not so many guests, but we all got cottages next to each other so it felt crowded.
