This hotel was very basic, rooms clean, and comfortable beds. Basic bathroom too, and there was a hair dryer, but no power point within usable distance of a mirror!! Nice bar downstairs, very convivial, AND an espresso machine which did produce okay coffee. Set menu for dinner - food very average, but edible. Free wifi in rooms

We stayed only the one night at Hotel Kultahovi as we were on our way to Kirkenes. The staff were very friendly. The receptionist was very welcoming and reminding us we had an 8 am pick up and that as breakfast started at 7.30 she would arrange for us to have breakfast at 7 am to give us enough time... More

Stayed in the Hotel Kultahovi as part of an organised trip to see the Northern Lights arranged by Aurorazone in March 2013. The hotel is lovely, we were accomodated in the new buildling next to the river. The rooms are not large, but perfectly adequate, very clean and mostly wood so feel very cosy. As you would expect in this... More

Stayed with a friend, delightful room . We had a ground floor twin in the new section. We went in winter and were able to step out the door into lovely deep snow with the river close by, even though mostly ice it was very picturesque. We saw the Northern Lights one night just outside our room, mainly white in... More

I stayed there one night in March. The room was perfectly OK, but nothing special: well-heated (it was -30 outside), clean, bathroom OK, bed comfortable enough, free Wi-Fi. So three stars for the room. But five stars for the staff. From the start they were excellent – friendly, helpful, efficient, they booked activities for me, gave me lots of advice,... More

We stayed here for six nights as part of a pre-paid package. We had a balcony room in the newer 'annexe'. The room was basic but well equipped; very clean with its own sauna and drying cupboard, and a decent shower. Two rather small single beds. Room service was a bit dilatory - not done until 4pm on a couple... More

We were so positively surprised about this Hotel! The room is absolutely clean, nicely and light decorated. The bathroom has a Sauna which is good for 2-3 people. Very lovely staff even spoke German. Visit the Siida Museum closeby, absolutely fantastic! I can only recommend this Hotel to anyone. Also Inari is a very small, but lovely village.

The hotel decor is fairly basic but it has a great restaurant and the bar is a lovely place to sit and watch the fire. We stayed here with our four year old son. We saw the aurora borealis from the hotel balcony and then outside the hotel. It was magical. The food here uses local ingredients and recipes and... More

The food here is great - I can recommend the red trout as well as the sauteed reindeer. The warm cocktails are also good for warming up after a chilly day. The newer rooms have balconies and a sauna. Staff are friendly and organised my tours by email before I arrived.

Just returned from a 6 night stay at this excellent hotel. The rooms (in the New River block) were overlooking the frozen lake, and we're an adequate size for a double. They all have their own sauna which is just what you need when returning from a freezing day outside. The food was very good and although the service was... More
