Hotel Hospitz is very nice small hotel in Savonlinna. Savonlinna is a small town in eastern Finland, which wakes up in summer. The town is famous of the castle Olavinlinna (http://www.nba.fi/en/museums/olavinlinna_castle) and specially by the opera festivals (http://www.operafestival.fi/en) there in July every year. Hotel Hospitz is very near the castle, only about 300 meters. Hotel is very nice small hotel... More

The name of the hotel states that it is run by a family (or directed towards families). Not sure about this, but the hotel definitely has some laid back coziness and warmth in its atmosphere. And it suits families too, we had our one year old boy with us. Service is filled with smile which is not always guaranteed in... More

The hotel has a good family-run feel to it, and the staff are very helpful. Rooms are comfortable and quite spacious, though there is no refrigerator and no air conditioning (and no extractor fan in the bathroom), so a little old-fashioned. Excellent breakfast. Good location by the lake and very handy to town and to the fortress. Good wifi. Good,... More

6 months ago I stayed at this place for 1 night and was very pleased with staff, location and convenience. This time we stayed here the whole family at the big room (for 4 persons). Room was really spacious, actually it was an apartment consisted of 2 rooms with 1 wet area. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly and helpful... More

Romantic old hotel. Beautifully lighted when dark. Does not have fridge or A/C, but comfortable beds, enough space, lovely interior and good showers. Breakfast probably the best quality in Finland. Great location close to shore, castle and not far from Market.

Lovely little hotel, very cosy. The rooms we were given were big and confortable, with a pretty romatic decoration. One of the rooms had a balcony with a view to the lake, a pleasant place to spend part of a sunny afternoon. The hotel location is nice and also convenient, between the market place and the fortress. We were very... More

This hotel has a great location by a small sandy beach only a 10 minute walk from the train station. The rooms generally have nice old fashioned décor and character, but they are poorly ventilated, and hot in summer. Beware when booking to ensure that they have not given you a basement room. The room we were initially given was... More

Many hotels in Finland are big sterile and part of bigger hotel chain. This hotel is refresing exeption as it seems to be privately ovned, old but renoved, cosy, small and charming. It is wery close to center of Savonlinna town but still location is peacefull and directly by the lake and also near to Olavinlinna castle. Breakfast was wery... More
