. Although I was initially dissapointed with our room as it was not as attractive as those on the website and also had peeling paint work around the window ( room 102) I was soon won over by the fantastic atmosphere and great customer service. The fact that we could help ourselves to tea, coffee and juices ( as well... More

At 9pm, tired from 11hrs plane journeys, a taxi of 180Kr for a 5 min. walk from the airport bus is outrageous. Arena tucked into a block in a side street. Bizarre reception but once IN - OK. Single room just that, narrow, back view into building site will get better, but still a car park within 5 storey flats.... More

Great value especially as a pit-stop. The staff were friendly and helpful as we checked in late at night. It's within a 5 or so minute walk from the train station. The hotel room was large and comfortable with two beds, a desk, sofa (futon) and a bathroom. We enjoyed the variety of hot and cold items for breakfast. Would... More

I spent here two nights on my business trip. My room was small but clean and functional, the single bed of good size was comfortable. The bathroom was clean but wet room type, the shower had no basin so one must be careful while having a shower so that you don't wet the whole floor. The room was equipped with... More

I was visiting Gothenburg, I was staying in suburbs and unfortunately, bus service does not run 24 hours coupled with my boyfriend and I planning a romantic night out so we came across Arena Hotel. The hotel itself is located not that far from Central Station as well as by the Ullevi Stadium and the police station so there is... More

Great location. Great breakfast and great value so would definitely recommend. The staff were efficient and helpful on check in. The room was massive and the ensuite had a bath in which was awesome :) The breakfast was a buffett style and great choices, cereals, yoghurt, fruit salad and also some hot things! We got an amazing deal on this... More

I visited Gothenburg with colleagues for a business meeting and we stayed at the Arena. A little walk (seemed quite a while in the rain) from the central station, but we were greeted by a very friendly lady on reception. Single rooms are small and functional, and breakfast is limited, but for Sweden, which is never cheap, a reasonable option... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in July as everywhere else during that time was so expensive there was some big football tournment going on. Hotel was clean and had good breakfast. Room was bright and airy but dated. The first night we couldn't get hotel parking as it was full and we should have booked in advance. So if... More

We stayed just for 2 nights and everything was lovely! the room was beautiful and had a wonderful hot-tub, which we enjoyed a lot after 2 days of walking around the city. The bathroom isn't very big, but totally comfortable and full of everything you need. we think that the room has been renewed recently. we were on the 7th... More

My husband and I stayed at the Arena Hotel for a weekend break. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Our room was average - the room decor was quite dated; the 'double bed' was actually two single beds put together with a double mattress topper covering to make the bed a double with two single quilts...not quite...
