This is a great little hotel. We arived late with the ferry from Denmark. It's just a few metres from the ferryport - very convenient. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions for sightseeing. Breakfast is great and lots of choice (don't miss the waffles!!!). The rooms are a bit small, so are the beds - if you choose a double sized bed - which isn't very double at all. It is actually a room for one, but they put two there. (One towel, one pillow - but you can easily get two - but you have to ask, even though you book for two).... more

I stayed at the Spar Hotel Majorna for two nights during a short break in Gothenburg in August 2006. At approx. USD80 per night the hotel is good value for Sweden. This is a real gem of a hotel. Check in was very easy and staff at reception are very helpful and curteous. The room was spacious and very clean. The is a great wee hotel; very comfortable and clean with really friendly staff.
