Stayed at this hotel in September with Groupon deal. Hotel was nice, breakfast good and staff friendly. Our room was decent size, nice decor and modern. Would recommend this hotel as location is great and generally a nice hotel. More

Stayed at the grand opera with easyjet holidays in December for a weekend. The location is ideal for exploring the city, with buses and trams close by. As others have said, the plush reception is deceptive if you're staying in one of the old rooms, which are far from 4*. Small rooms with dated decor, but comfy bed, big tv... More

very convenient in the city centre with view to the central station. The rooms were small, but comfortable. The beds were super. Breakfast was rich and variated. More

We travelled to Gothenburg at the end of September via a Groupon deal with Easyjet holidays and were a bit nervous of travelling on a deal, especially after reading some of the earlier reviews. However my wife and I were very pleasantly surprised! The hotel was really easy to get to (a very cost effective bus from the airport drops... More

This is a great hotel with perfect location for sightseeing or business in Downtown. We arrived by train and walked everywhere. Very nice breakfast too. I don't know where the room is in the review that is not great, they were very nice here and I would expect if you have any concerns they would help if you asked them.... More

We have just returned from the Grand Hotel Opera in Gothenburg and were not dissapointed with the hotel we stayed on a BB basis and the breakfast had more than enough on offer to start you off for the cold day ahead. The staff were friendly and more than helpful with restaurant recommendations within the city. We were in a... More

As mentioned in previous reviews this is a strange hotel, first impressions are great, really nice lobby and bar/breakfast area, 4* no question. If however you are directed downstairs and to the left to find your room prepare to enter the 2* alter-ego hotel. Tired, tired rooms and public spaces. In fairness the rooms were clean, the breakfast was very... More

I booked an EasyJet Holiday (via Groupon) for my boyfriend and I to stay at this hotel at the end of September 2011 for two nights. I was really nervous after seeing a few negative reviews (especially as we were on a deal rather than booking direct) but I can honestly say it was fantastic! We arrived early and thought... More

Having booked a discount long week end with Easy Jet, and an unknown quantity which was the Hotel Grand Opera in Goteborg, what a pleasant surprise to arrive at this modern, clean, English speaking friendly hotel. The reception and check in was easy. The hotel security can not be faulted. The rooms are not spacious, but more than adequate, the... More

stayed in an economy double room that was situated in the not renovated parts of the hotel, the bathroom had plastic walls and floor and was really smelly as was the room. The room felt run down and not as nice as the pictures on their website and the room was very cold when we got there. The lobby was... More
