My wife and I stayed 2 nights at this hotel while on vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room as comfortable and clean. Bathroom was clean and well appointed. We stayed on the second floor with our room overlooking the courtyard. This can be a bit loud if there are many guests in the courtyard and they are talking... More

My bed broke at the hostel I was in. I looked for a place at 1:30 am and went to Hotel Royal. Was I impressed. The hotel is in a great location for dinning and shopping. The staff were great and the price was easily worth the value. The breakfast alone makes this a perfect stay for a family or... More

We stayed here one night during Gothia Cup. The personnel was very friendly and helpful and it was a great breakfast buffe. Location is good, close to the train station and some good shopping. We stayed at the top floor and as it was warm outside it got really hot inside the room. We had the window open and there... More

5 minutes walk to the central station, right next to the big park (Trädgårdsföreningen). Very friendly service, clean rooms, great breakfast... we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Royal. They serve complimentary home-backed cake everyday - you can also enjoy the complimentary tea or coffee with it in their garden. We loved staying here and highly recommend this place!

We went to Gothenburg for the European CF Meetings. There were seven of us. We stayed 5 nights. The contact with the hotel began months before as we made reservations, changed them, changed them again, changed the names that went with each room and just before arrival extended one room. Andreas and Tina answered emails promptly and always with the... More

Smallest room I ever came across. It was impossible to find space to do my usual morning push ups. No table by the bed. Bed hard, like sleeping on the floor and the room was not cheap. Paid like 150 euros per night. Will never go back!

What a great hotel this is. From the very warm welcome on arrival where the girl at reception knew all about our booking and requirements, the daily interaction with the other very helpful staff to the super-clean room. The hotel retains period features and our room was really nice with high ceilings and large windows (the view of the car... More

We have had a wonderful stay. The hotel is centrally situated & the oldest in Gothenburg, but beautifully renovated and fresh. Everything possible available in the room, even an iron. We also appreciated the complimentary quality teas, coffee & delicious cake available at all hours. There is also a secured baggage area. The staff were all exeptionally helpful.

Very friendly old style hotel in the center of Gothenburg. Great value for money. Hotel is the oldest in gothenburg and has a very cosy feeling. You are always well looked after. Great rooms and the breakfast is excellent. The location is optimal close to the shopping area and central station.

This hotel is well located, with friendly and helpful staff, and great breakfast. Rooms were nice, clean and quiet. And complimentary tea/coffee and cake available after breakfast in the relaxing lounge area. Would definitely stay again!
