My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and paid 2360 SEK (£212.00) by booking in advance online. The boat is moored to the docks and is in a great location about 10mins walk from the city centre. The hotel is immaculate and though the rooms are pretty small, they are cosy and comfortable. The bathrooms are small but... more

The location of this hotel is really great, not far from the Opera House and Lipstick Building, in an old boat right on the water. It is also very reasonably priced, especially for Sweden. The rooms are extremely small, with just enough room for a bed, a tiny corner desk and a TV mounted on the wall. There is a... more

A friend and I booked a trip to G'borg for a mini-getaway. I chose the Ibis for the price and based upon other reviews here. I agree with the last reviewer re location, space, cleanliness and staff. Very nice folk! There was no coffee/tea in the room. The breakfast was ample but I would not recommend having dinner there as... more

I found this hotel quite nice, not to far from the city centre with a view across the water, as long as you are on the river side of the boat, otherwise you get a view of a bus / coach! The dock side also has the added feature of the grating gang planks, all night! more

If you are looking for a cheap European vacantion DO NOT visit Gothenburg. It is a very, very expensive city for food etc. Even a McDonalds meal will set you back just under double of that of the UK prices!! If you do have a little money then read on............ This hotel does have small rooms, it is an old... more

This hotel was the best on our entire trip through Sweden, even though it was also one of the cheapest. The location on a ship was really extraordinary. The breakfast and bar areas were nice, and we especially liked the sun terrace outside. Our room was small, as expected, but clean and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The... more

We stayed here in Goteborg on our way to Copenhagen from Bergen in Norway. This a fantastic hotel. It is an old ship which is anchored and has been converted to a hotel. It is just about 15 mins walk from Nils Ericsson Bus terminal and the Central Station. We were charged 750 SEK per night without breakfast. The room... more

Hotel Ibis is a boat located for a 5 minute walk from the train station. Also next to Utkiken which is a viewing point. Hotel is quitely located, I would recommend it because it's cheap. 3 nights in decemeber for 150 euro's excl. breakfast. Better and cheaper is to have breakfast at the station or more in the center. I've... more
