The floors are not in the best state and the "cricket chirping" from the speakers is not calming at all and sound more like a sprinkler... Entering the room you feel really cramped. They are dark, a lot of black colour, and just not big enough to move. The rest is fine, nice lobby (small too) good coffee and nice... more

Nice and close to the city centre, but far enough out to keep the cost down. Parking is a nightmare - you have to get the pass to the underground garage when you check in, so you have to abandon your car while you check in, then move it to the car park, 4 levels underground. Breakfast is standard Swedish... more

Designed to give you a taste of Italy - both the rooms and the elegant coffee parlour / reception. Rooms are well furnished with the bed as a centerpiece. Covered in velvet and golden pillows it welcomes you on entering the room. The complimentary San Pellegrino water (in glass bottles) and biscotti are a nice touch. New, clean bathrooms with... more

Had a great stay at Mornington, Gothenberg. Rooms are small but very well designed in a thoughtful way. They used a lot of gold, velvet and italian design in the refurbishment. It´s not to everyones taste, but I loved it! Location can´t get any better, right on Avenyn, close to everything. Recommended! more

Hotel is a 3-star property with an excellent location - although some noise from the night clubs nearby can be heard especially during the weekends. Level of service was above average but rooms were small (at least mine) . All in all I would recommend the hotel. more

hotel is basic 3 star stuff...nothing fancy - bed and a hot shower. HOWEVER... its right on avelyn - party central and close to all the sights ... i.e. the sveedish ladies! the transport is so good in gothenburg you could stay anywhere in it and be in the city centre in 10mins. The hotel itself is located at the... more

Have just come back from a week's stay here and have nothing but praise for the Mornington. We were in Gothenburg to watch the European Athletics Championships and wanted a hotel within walking distance of the Ullevi stadium. Even at our slow walking pace it took only 20 minutes to get there. Hotel itself is on the main street (Avenyn)... more

Great location -- what a wonderful feeling to exit the hotel front doors, and be EXACTLY where all the action is in this lovely city! So -- I'd rate the hotel highly because of this location, the cleanliness and helpfulness of staff. We were disappointed with the size of the room, which was about the size of a double room... more
