I stayed in this hotel for three nights while on business in Vasteras. Starting on a positive note, the location is good, right downtown and close to shops restaurants, the river, lake, etc.. The room I stayed in was furnished with cheap furniture and the bathroom really needed renovating (cracked sink and plastic flooring even in the shower). The sound... More

this is fourth time I am in Vasteras. each time in different hotel. previous ones were Best Western Esplande, Clarion Etage and EliteStadt. well, what can I say, room is terribly small and divided into two ones actually (nonsense). in bedroom there is no table to put something near to bed, there is no TV in bedroom. TV is hanged... More

Excellent location in the middle of the city with free off-street parking. Decent sized room with a balcony (top level floor only I think). Bathroom looked a bit dated, but was clean and tidy. Bad insulation as we could hear people talking in the next room. Good quality Scandinavian breakfast - with limited selection though. Overall an enjoyable stay.

I stayed in this hotel during a short business trip in June 2008. The hotel is average and the service is good. The staff are helpful. It is good for short trips.

I stayed in Hotell Västerås during a business trip to the city. The location of the hotel is in the middle of the city center, which makes it ideal for a person coming for the first time. The rooms are light and renovated, and all in all it looks like a very clean place to be, which feels really good.... More

Swedish hotels excel in basic perfection, and Hotell Västerås is no exception. Rooms were perfect (though i have to agree with Charlotta, the room was a little cold!), breakfast was a decent Scandinavian spread (get in early & dive in!), and it's right in the middle of town! Only small complaint, i was left waiting outside for 10 mins before... More

This hotel is located in the city centre, just 15 minutes walk from the station (through the park. Room was very nice anc clean. No view to speak of, but I didn't mind. In the week ends, the reception is only open a few hours; in fact I checked in and out without seeing any hotel staff. I was given... More

The location was perfect, in the middle of the city. There was no view from the window... only other windows across the street. The breakfast was poor and the whole hotel was a bit run-down. And the toilet didn`t work... Last morning ,about 9 o´clock, the staff came in without knocking...and wondering "are you still here...??!" (The signoff was 12... More

+ Getting there/Transport/Parking I arrived in a rental car. Very confusing as the whole of Vasteras is a one-way system. I initially parked in the multistory garage across the road (above the supermarket) and checked in - then got detailed instructions on accessing the hotel parking (which is behind the hotel). + Around the hotel (suburb) The hotel is on... The Hotell Västerås, formerly the Aaros Metro, is located slap bang in the middle of Västerås town centre. As such, it's very good if you're coming to the town on a budget flight weekend or for any other short stay. You're a stone's throw from the shops and the town's good array of restaurants and bars. Unfortunately the street side... More
