The hotel has long passed its best before date.. it needs a big renovation.. Start with changing the staff, they were arrogant and unhelpful. The rooms were full of flies and wasps and the carpets were disgusting. Breakfast was so-so. It was cold in the rooms and the bathroom looked like it should have been refurbished years ago. more

I went to Västerås for a friend´s wedding and stayed for one night at First Hotel. The location is perfect, right in the center of Västerås, walking distance to the train station and directly connected to two shopping malls. Nice and friendly staff and you felt very welcome. We ordered room with a view and got very nice room on 7. floor with great view. I loved staying at the First Hotel Plaza. My unit was light with a fantastic view and nice furniture. The breakfast room is about the best I have ever experienced. The whole hotel has a very nice comfort level and I will for certain come back. Marlens more

Well it's hard to miss the tallest building in town, but watch out for the one way system! The car park is next door and ok for overnight with lift to reception. Rooms are great, nice bathrooms, good beds, and make sure to get a room high and you will have a wonderful view. When I was there last it was winter and cold, nothing exceptional just normal winter.
