“Historic guesthouse with high-quality food.” Welcome to Olme Prastgard Gastgiveri, a rectory from the late 1700s. On a hill overlooking the plains of Olme including oak, ash and chestnut you will find Olme Prastgard Gastgiveri. Here we offer you a peaceful and historic 1700s setting with personalized guestrooms and high-quality food that is prepared with great care and love of mostly local ingredients.
Nice and friendly people. Warm atmosphere, you feel at home from the first to the last minute. Rooms very nice, tasteful and authentic. Bathroom Swedish standard which is perfectly fine and clean. What also stands out from other places is also how well they are managing lamps, light and candles creating a calming warm feeling. The restaurant is truly outstanding. Very ambitious highest quality great menu. All prepared perfectly with best of the best ingredients. Very good choice of vines, as usually in Sweden a bit pricey but not exaggerating, ok. Truly everything a memorable very nice experience.

I stayed one night here with a small group from work. The house was very cozy and quaint, older but well-kept with a historical feeling. The food was amazing, both in taste and in appearance. The hosts/personal were very pleasant and they made sure we had everything we needed. I definitely recommend a stay if you're in the area!

A beautiful home for overnight stays and with a cuisine thereafter. We were well taken care of with great food and accompanied wine. It’s a beautiful place. Only challenge is the very tiny bathroom and possibly high traffic outside. Despite that a very nice place to visit.

Three friends and I stayed here for a night on the way up to the Swedish rally. The owners were very helpful with emails before our stay, to ensure we had everything set up that we needed. When we arrived, there was lots of space for the car, and a we were able to park right outside the front door. The key and rooms were ready to go as soon as we arrived and we were given the WiFi code immediately. The room was homely, clean, well furnished and very comfortable! The whole hotel has a lovely cosy and welcoming feel. We had a table booked for the evening in the restaurant. And needless to say, the food was just a lovely as the rest of the hotel. Perfectly cooked steak, a fair selection of good wines and great service to match. The breakfast was also very pleasant, with good quality food and a lovely ambience (quiet smooth jazz music playing in the background) The owners absolutely lovely, and were able to help with everything we needed. I wouldn’t hesitate to use the hotel again in the future. Excellent.…

My husband spent two nights at this hotel. The room was warm and inviting and the food was AMAZING. The owners were welcoming. We enjoyed our time there exploring the area which had so much to offer. I hope someday soon to go back.

We enjoyed very much our stay in this small hotel on our way to Norway. Great food, very children friendly. If something to "complain", the bathroom was not up to the rest of the hotel standard as it was a bit old and small but clean. Had all amenities. I would definitely recommend it.

One night stay with family on our way to from Oslo to Stockholm by car. If you do not fancy the 6 1/2 hour direct drive you should absolutely stop here! It is located exactly half way, 3 hour from Oslo, 3 hour from Stockholm. We had a suite and a double room, both lovely decorated and well equipped. The inn has all the charm related to an old manor, but is still comfortable with all you the modern comforts you expect today. The only little remark I have is that the bathrooms are a bit dated. The staff is so friendly and service minded, cannot wish for more. Now, add to the above that the kitchen at this place is outstanding. Dinner was served with passion and could have been any 5 star in any big city around the World, but they would not have been able to compete with the extra "touch" added by the chef himself pouring the sauce over your plate at the table. Breakfast equally nice. Not the biggest v´choice, but everything there was high quality, including bread straight from the oven! I wish I could find a place like this in some of the other towns I visit frequently! Do not miss out on this unique experience, and I may add at a reasonable price too, if you are traveling Oslo-Stockholm or vice versa by road.…

Given that my husband was born a few miles away from this boutique hotel and restaurant, he certainly had never heard about it. Then again, he moved away over a decade ago. We booked two nights here to surprise his mother for mother's day and combined our stay in their "suite" (a larger sized bedroom) with brunch on Sunday with her. The location is very quiet, despite the proximity to the highway. There is a large garden for kids to run around and play, complete with toys and all the trimmings. Our son loved it. The rooms are all individually named after how they'd been used when this was still a pastor's office & home. The beds are comfortable, albeit a bit short for someone tall, and due to the head and feet board you can't really stretch out beyond the mattress. Luckily they were wide enough to lie diagonally. There is no bath tub, only a shower and the bathroom is sparsely decorated, but for a night or two, that's all you need. There are amenities (shower gel, shampoo etc.) available. We also had a fruit basket in the room (although, sadly, some of the fruit had already begun to rot). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was typical Swedish fare, but very nicely presented. The buffet food for brunch was what you typically find on a Swedish buffet and okay food. But I wouldn't say it was great. Since everyone literally banged on the door at opening time (so did we), the staff were slightly overwhelmed and there were waiting times above what you'd expect. But again, this was mother's day and they were fully booked. That alone is a good sign. I had very low expectations given the location of this hotel and my previous experiences with Swedish hotels. But I was pleasantly surprised by the genuine care of the staff and the tasteful decoration of the rooms and the building. If you have reason to pass the area and you need a place to rest, I highly recommend you stay here.…

We stayed for one night on route from Oslo to Uppsala. What a gem! This would have to be one of the best B&Bs that we have ever stayed in. The guesthouse is set in the forest just off the main road with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. The house has been restored with great care and our room was spacious and beautifully appointed with many special touches. Dinner in the restaurant was absolutely superb. The host, Johan, is a highly skilled and creative chef who uses local, organic ingredients. His breakfast was just as good if not better and the home made bread was the best we have ever eaten. Highly recommended.
