I booked a room at Hotel Centralstationen and found that it was a hostel room with bed sheets included. The rooms are small, the beds are only 80cm wide and the tv is placed on the pillow side of the room. The shared showers don't include schampoo. When I book a hotel room I take for granted that soap and... More

Good location being towards the centre of Uppsala although it was difficult to locate even from the train station. When we booked the price was the cheapest we could get in Uppsala although it was still expensive for hostel standards. It did not work out to be cheap because you have to pay for bed linen. It was O.K for... More

I stayed in a room at the hotel part. The room was sparcely decorated, mainly with furniture from Ikea... The room was clean, there was hot water in the shower and it was peaceful and quite (although I had a feeling that it will not be quite if the neighbours are too noisy). My bed was not made during my... More

+ Not too expensive + Nice design, very (too !) clean + huge common bathroom area + very nice breakfast choice + central location. ~ Not an hostel feeling: no personnality at all, poor common area. - Mostly rooms without windows. - Very, very small rooms ! First night in a 2 beds-room where there was just enough space to... More

I have just had my second stay here, and I am surprised by some of the negative comments that others have written. The place is VERY clean, and the cleaners seemed to be working all day. The bathrooms and showers are wonderfully clean, lots of hot water in the showers, clean rooms and clean beds. Fast (and free) internet, bright... More

We were there one night in February, 2013 The breakfast was normal, nothing special. The room is tiny for 2 people with 2 big luggages. Imposible to move around it, if you want to go to the bathroom you need to jump by the bed if you have the luggages open. Too expensive for the size of the room. I... More

Great location for the station and handy to the town area. Staff were very helpful. The room was compact, clean and everything worked. I have been in rail sleeper carriages bigger than this room. The lack of a window in the room took some getting used to even though I was aware of this fact before I made my reservation.... More

On the good side, the staff is friendly and helpsome. I chose the "hotel standard" and got linen and breakfast. Its free internet and if you pay extra you can park in the garage across the street. On the down side, the rooms are really small and most of them has no window. It feels like being in a bunker... More

Perfect location near the railway station. The room was small but had everything you need. It was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable and though the room was not so sound-proof I easily solved that by using ear plugs. Breakfast was a nice surprise and one even offered food free of gluten and food free of lactose.

The only pro for this hostel is that is very close to the central station and to the city centre. Beside that, the rooms are unbelievably small and without windows, the staff is unfriendly and unhelpful. The fact that is one of the cheapest options in a very expensive town is no excuse for this very uncomfortable place
