I joined a friend fairly last minute at Kamalaya. She goes on a detox week every year in Jan and generously invited me to share her twin room. I have travelled fairly extensively and have been lucky enough to stay at some beautiful places but Kamalaya took my breath away. This place caters for the full on detox-lovers as well... More

The resort is designed in the spirit of a Ming garden, with every view and placement of villas, paths, vine covered rocks, waterfalls, and brooks so carefully thought out that the entire complex seems like an act of nature. It was my birthday during my stay and it became a special occasion with a chocolate cake and a present and... More

The 4th time we visited Kamalaya... without regret! Each time they have improved on details, adding small tarasses for lunch, new beautiful gym, never busy, stunning lap pool.. We were a bit dissappionted by the choice of group holistic classes, no pilatus, just yoga.. It would be nice if they add more diverse classes for those who wish to be... More

We booked 5 scrub and Thai massage at Kamalaya and got a call 1 day after that the scrub is not available anymore due to the room renovation, I think it is a ridiculous excuse. When time comes to the massage, 1 person is not set in a Thai massage bed. My masseuse was a very young woman with limited... More

While it is regretful that anyone should have a negative experience we ask guests to note that Kamalaya specializes in offering results oriented wellness programs for guests staying at the resort, which is an integral part of the experience. Kamalaya is not a Day Spa and Day Spa guests are allowed access only in exceptional cases and only subject to... More

Kamalaya is a hidden gem and an exception on the mass touristic island: here's peace, tranquility and personal, friendly, welcoming service everywhere. Food IS amazing, and yes: It's expensive, but quality and this kind of service cost! Kamalaya only has 4 stars, but their concept and service is 5 stars worthy. Skip the packages and start saving well ahead and... More

The treatments are of the best standard with experienced staff that really know there craft. Highly recommended and a must do. It is very pricey but when you arrive and experience there food and... I stayed at Kamalaya in 2013 and completed a 7 day detox, this was a reboot and reset for me both physically and emotionally and the best thing I could have done for myself. I recently traveled to Koh Samui and stayed with a competitor, I did get results however it was no comparison to Kamalaya and I regret my... More

If you're looking for a luxury detox in Asia go directly to Kamalaya. I did the comprehensive detox and had a great week. The fresh food, professional friendly staff, large villas and other friendly guests make detoxing easy. Will definitely be coming back as it exceeded my expectations.

This was the most beautiful holiday experience we've ever had. The setting is idyllic - away from the crowds of party people, isolated on the southern tip of this beautiful island. We came for a relaxing wellness retreat and that's exactly what we got. Our room was simple, but lovely. And that's pretty much the vibe for the entire place.... More
