We (a young couple) stayed at the kamalaya for all together 9 days. pros: + the hotel atmosphere was amazing (almost like paradise on earth :)) and quiet + the service staff was so caring, friendly and very nice! + the breakfast buffet was the most amazing I've ever seen (and I've been to a lot of hotels all over... I just returned last night from my fourth trip to Kamalaya and I would like to thank the owners and staff for a totally rejuvenating experience. I don't mean botox and liposuction rejuvenation but renewal achieved by participating in a supportive holistic environment. The daily schedule for offered activities is varied, the spa treatment professional and the food is deliciously... More

We stayed 9 days at kamalaya and booked a hillside room. When the door to our room was opened you first smell mold and awful dirty-toilet-smell. We tried to stay the night but as it didn't get better we asked for a room change the second day. They said in 2 days another hillside room would be available so we... More

Our visit in Kamalaya was amazing. We really loved the resort, the pools and THE FOOD. We loved: -FOOD, best of the best during our 2 weeks trip to Thailand. -Swimming pools. Always empty and amazing. -Fresh Coconut. -Gardens, plunge pools and STEAM CAVERN. -View from the spa changing room is to die for :) -Free paddle boarding and kayaks.... More

Kamalaya. I rarely leave somewhere itching to come back. As soon as I got home I booked my return holiday for this year. My first true relaxation / spa / healthy eating / no alcohol holiday and I am converted. I left Kamalaya following a 4 night stay feeling relaxed, refreshed, healthy. happy, grounded, fit and at peace with myself... More

Kamalaya is one of the most perfect places I have ever been to. It is not ostentatious, it is just relaxed luxury--where everything is thought of (from replacement combs, razors, toothbrushes and toothpaste in your bathroom cabinet to glass bottles of water, and tea made from lemongrass, ginger or mulberries available throughout the massage complex). The spa is not forceful... More

We stayed here as a couple a good while ago, when the rooms and hotel were relatively new. The trip down from room to beach is very steep but was not an issue. It is expensive and I would certainly not recommend this setting for a family - it has more an air of romantic or posh or specialist spa... More

If I could give it more stars, I would. This is a truly holistic wellness centre. It offers regular beauty therapies though that is not its focus. You can be as serious as you like about your stay - a full detox (which is not a fasting one), pick and choose your therapies yourself or from an assortment of packages.... More

My wife and I just returned from a two week spa experience at the Kamalaya Spa Retreat in Koh Samui. The room presented itself as very shabby with chipped furniture, fungus in the shower seals as well as cheap fittings throughout. The dining and breakfast room had cracks in the walls and what I believe water ingress since towels had... More

Kamalaya is a haven. Unlike dreadful places like Chiva Som, it is a non stress detox health retreat within the embrace of real nature and not a suburb. The food is delicious and beautifully presented, without any need to fast (which i=they don't do). Every pilates, yoga, gym, outlet is available. There is no need for deprivation only celebration that... More
