i said as 'no wifi' as far as it is, but the quality is soooooo poor. they have several access points but i guess that only downstairs it works fine. But not from 4th or 2nd floor. actually, this hotel was booked by travel managers and i just looked by description and location. for me wifi is really important -... More

I enjoyed my stay in Colonial Hotel with my friends. As we were looking for something affordable, this place was perfect. We didn't spend our time in the hotel but rather exploring the beautiful city of Stockholm. Therefore sharing bathrooms was not a problem. If you are travelling with a couple of friends with a budget, this might be the... More

I did like only two things: breakfast (a surprising variety of choice) and the girls from the reception as they were polite and helpful. The rooms were EXTREMELY basic and small. At least my room had nothing to do with the ones shown in pictures. The pillows were uncomfortable and the whole room rather shabby something I wouldn't expect in... More

I have stayed in this hotel frequently over the last few years, i like the location ( short walk from Central train station) since i enjoy walking around the city, and the rates are affordable, breakfast is average but satisfying, there is a computer next to the front desk, free Wi Fi ...i usually have shared showers and bathrooms which... Since it is a 2-star hotel, you don't have to expect 4/5-star things! This hotel is well located close to central station; maybe it's a little bit old but it's essential. The room was small with an essential bathroom. The walls are so thin that you can hear sounds coming from other rooms. Breakfast was very good and the receptionists... More

We had a miserable experience. Shared bathrooms were disgusting (paper and hair on the floor and in the shower), the room was so-so in terms of cleanliness. Noisy at night. Service not very nice except for front desk lady and breakfast lady. Breakfast was the only positive thing about this hotel. A person from room service actually entered our room... More

We had a hostel-style room with a shared bathroom. The room was good (noisy at night), but the bathrooms weren't great - they were not cleaned very frequently. The breakfast had a great selection though. This room was cheap for Stockholm prices, and ok for one night's stay.

The Colonial is an older hotel, and is a bit tired. However, the staff are really friendly, breakfast was included and was a good variety, and the hotel is entirely functional and comfortable. Our room had a queen size bed and a double sofa bed, plus an ensuite bathroom. We walked from the central train station (the closest) with all... More

We usually not find luxury in a two star hotel; in this one that is replaced by the friendly staff – mainly Yvette. Having in mind Swedish prices for lodging, one may consider Hotel Colonial very affordable. Rooms are nice and breakfast is good. The location is great; not too much in the center but not far from it about... More

Stayed here at the Colonial Hotel recently for one night on our first visit to Stockholm. This hotel is about 10-15 minute walk north of Stockholm Central Train Station. 711 convenience store is about 5 short blocks away. Free breakfast in the morning was very nice consisting of fresh breads, fruit, cereal, juices, coffee, yogurt, and more that im forgetting... More
