As friends had prebooked to stay at STF Fridhemsplan, we contacted them last minute and accepted the only available room, a double en suite. As our friends were staying on a dorm/hostel basis we had expected a cheap accomodation. STF describes some of it's rooms as hostel and others as hotel. The rate we paid for our 'hotel' room was 1070 SEK, approx £96. This included hire of bed linen and buffet breakfast. I feel that if a property is charging hotel rate, then you should not be expected to make and strip your own bed and basic facilities such as a hairdryer and luggage storage should be provided. STF charge extra for luggage storage, bed linen etc and for this I would hope to pay hostel prices. For a hostel however, it is very smart, modern and well equipped. If booking on this basis, please do not be put off - you will be impressed with STF. more
