The STF was a very nice place to stay. Budget housing and when I made the reservation and the room description said there were no windows I did not realize that the room was in the basement. With that said the hotel was fantastic. We were only in the room to sleep anyway as we were out early each day... More

Why 3 stars if I said perfect? It is veri good location, nice staff, kind of clean and a very decent breakfast. But that is all. The things on the bed are either from the century before last. The rooms are very very small for the price paid. For the same price I was able to get in Vienna a... More

We were visiting Stockholm for a week and chose this hostel due to its relatively cheap price and location. The things we liked the best: The location was indeed ideal- just 5 minute tube ride from the centre of town and a 5 minute walk from two little beaches nestled into the water front. The service was excellent and the... More

STF Fridhemsplan is a hostel cum hotel conveniently located near the city centre. Pros: If you are arriving from abroad, the airport bus flygbussarna stops near the hotel. The underground metro is also close. The hotel has a number of family rooms with two single beds and a sofa cum bed. There is an en suite bathroom with a big... More

We stayed in a windowless double room for five nights. This type of rooms is located in the basement and came to be about 150€ cheaper than the same room with a window, so it was an easy choice when visiting an expensive city on a budget. The breakfast buffet was included, and it is incredibly varied. It's served from... More

We stayed in a room with an ensuite here and it was perfectly adequate. In fact, the shower was awesome! The rooms are pretty small, but we were out most of the time anyway, so this was no bother. We didn't have a window, so the room got a bit stuffy, but the bed was really comfy. It is about... More

The area where the hotel is located is nice, safe, close to city hall. There are plenty of shops and bars around the hotel. Parking is available in the streets around the hotel, payment required between 9:00 - 17:00. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, WI-FI good, breakfast is common. We got a room at second floor, with shared bathrooms. I... More

I stayed in the Hotel part, in a renovated room. The first morning I found a fat bedbug crawling in my bed. I got several bites (took almoast 2 weeks to show). The staff was helpful with cleaning my belongings but I got no apology and I had to go out and by dinner without my shoes or jacket (as... More

Loved my short stopover stay here. It is a definite yes for solo travellers too as I felt the staff were conscious of this and made me feel at home. If you want a more social hotel with hopping bars - well this is not the place. Enjoy!

Staying in Kungsholmen

Neighborhood Profile
Kungsholmen
Kungsholmen is one of the largest islands in central Stockholm and one of the most popular places to live. Its most famous attraction is Stockholm’s City Hall, which stands out with its monumental architecture and is one of the most photographed buildings in Sweden. Kungsholmen has its own little city center and shopping mall, its own beach and a lovely pedestrian area next to the water, which charms both locals and visitors with beautiful little cafés, restaurants and of course an awesome view. This neighborhood is perfect for a relaxed stroll followed by some coffee on a Sunday afternoon.
