This charming 17th century family owned hotel is well located in the old town of Stockholm just off one of the main streets. The owner is very friendly, obliging and welcoming. Our room was warm, the bed was comfortable and the furnishings very stylish. Breakfast is served at street level and is beautifully presented with something to suit all tastes. We... More

This hotel is really out of the ordinary in a positive way! Right in the middle of Old Town, 3 mins walk to the tube station. If you travel by taxi, be sure to say you want to go to Stora Nygatan 15, the alley "Sven Vintappares gränd" cannot be found on a GPS. Only 6 rooms and 1 suite,... More

Our biggest reccomendations, simply couldn't imagine a better place to stay ind the middle of the old town of Stockholm, few minutes walk from everything worth seeing and doing. The hotel building is extremely charming in original 17th century style with sloping floors and beautiful, classic and cosy interior, yet up-to-date comfortable beds, bathroom etc. The atmosphere was relaxed and... We stayed here for the weekend with our daughter. This is a very small inn located in the old town of Gamla Stan, which is pretty much within walking distance to many of the historic sites and shopping in Stockholm. The metro is maybe 150 meters away. We actually walked from the main train station there with little problem -... More

Look no further! If you want to stay in Gamla Stan - recommended when visiting Stockholm - and wish to stay in an authentic hotel book a room in Hotel Sven Vintappare! it is a very cute small building located on a side street (quiet), the rooms are large enough and the toilet/bathroom is new (with floor heating!). Breakfast is... More

We stayed here recently for three days starting off our Baltic vacation. The hotel is in a great location, close to many restaurants, all old town attractions and shopping. It is charming, clean, and well-maintained. We traveled with our 12 year old son and they were kind to upgrade us to a suite on the top floor. It was a... More

This small hotel probably deserves more than 3 circles, but there are some negatives that keep me from rating it higher. First, for the many positives: (1) helpful and friendly receptionist, who was glad to store our luggage in the kitchen as we had disembarked a cruise ship at 8:00 am and had nowhere else to store it while we... We stayed here for six nights to celebrate my partners 50th birthday. The Manager thoughtfully left flowers, wine, a card and chocolates for us to enjoy. The hotel is right in the heart of Gamla Stan - the old town, which for us was fantastic. This is absolutely the nicest part of the city - full of snicketways and historical charm.... More

We enjoyed out weekend retreat in this charming little hotel conveniently located in the old part of Stockholm. The place is run by two extremely nice and welcoming ladies who were extremely helpful with the inconveniences that the airline had caused us... Service overall is really really good, as is the breakfast in the mornings. Be aware that the building... More

Centrally located in old town otherwise known as Gamla Stan. The metro stop nearby as are attractions and good walking streets. The spiral stairs were annoying with luggage. Room had cross ventilation which was great during a heat wave. It was noisy at night which is a trade off for being near everything. Room was nice but dark. Bathroom was... More
