Stayed here for four nights with two young children, two strollers and lots of baggage. That required a lot of grunting getting all of that up to the fourth floor through a VERY narrow and spiralling (historic) staircase. But somehow, not sure why, I did not really mind the trouble. The room was quite nice, spacious and clean. The bathroom... more

This hotel was like a B&B right in the centre of the Old Town in Stockholm. It was in a lovely old building tucked away down one of the narrow atmospheric alleys. The actual room reminded me of B&Bs in the UK with low ceiling and exposed beams. It was not spacious but cosy, and nicely furnished. There were tea/coffee... more

This B&B is in a fabulous location -- right in the middle of Gamla Stan, one of my favorite places on earth. Staying here is like staying medieval Stockholm. It's a very old building (1607) with sloping floors and a tiny spiral staircase. It will not work for the disabled or elderly. But if you are fit, it is awesome.... more

The term 'hotel' is misleading - it is a cafe with rooms. It is a characterful place in a very old building. The location in the middle of the old town is excellent.. The room was large, clean and nicely furnished except there was little hanging space or drawers. A good en suite shower room. An excellent breakfast. Problems - very... more

For a short stay in Stockholm, this hotel in the old city could not be better placed for geting around. The hotel itself is in keeping with the area sort of olde world, a tall narrow house, with steep stairs with only six rooms. Our stay was lovely the rooms were really comfortable, and even though there is not someone... more

We enjoyed our one night stay at Sven Vintappare very much. We arrived in Stockholm on an early flight and our room wasn't ready yet but they took care of our luggage while we went to get breakfast. It is very, very small and the stairs to the rooms are steep but it is in a great location in the... more

I really like the time around Lucia. The dark nights are light up with the candles in the windows. So I visited Stockholm the last 5th Decembers. This time I choose the Sven Vintappare Hotel. A small hotel with 6 double rooms and one suite. It’s located in a small street near the main street of Gamla Stan(the old town).... more

The hotel is renovated with good taste, gustavian furniture, ceramic oven (just for looks, not working, unfortunately), low doors etc. The bathroom is modern, so there's no need to sacrifice convenience for romantic atmosphere. The personnel was very helpful and flexible. The location is quiet (20 meters off the main walkways/shopping streets) still the good restaurants and nice shops of... more

If it's a modern hotel you're looking for this isn't the one for you! From the steep spiral staircases and low doors to the incredible sloping floors this is an old fashioned hotel. The location is fantastic just of the main streets of Gamla Stan in a nice quiet courtyard. The breakfast is served in the cafe adjoining the hotel... more
