They don't deserve the stars the claim they have. The rooms are very small with wc you can hardly move in. Their luxury room is only as a standard room in any other 3-star hotel. The staff was not very keen to help sort out mistakes they themselves were responsible of making.

This hotel has a good location. The breakfast was good, however could be much better choose. That is about positive. We booked triple room but got double room with extra bed on wheels... Not fair, but ok. The room was spacious, but really really needs urgent reconstruction!!! The condition of the bathroom was critical - see the pictures. In addition... More

This hotel is centrally located and has nice rooms as well as pleasant staff. However, during my two recent visits I have had numerous negative experiences and the reaction from the hotel is to say they are SORRY. The first incident was when the floor of the room that I was staying in was not cleaned on a daily basis.... More

I stayed here on a business trip just before Christmas and, for me, it ticked all the boxes. The (standard) room was fairly basic but very clean, with a comfortable bed and ample shower/bathroom. The location is also great as it is very close to one of the main business districts in Stockholm. The breakfast was buffet style with no... More

The hotel is well located when you want to visit the city center. The staff is quite friendly, but doesn't seems ready to go the extra mile for you, however it was a satisfying experience with the staff at check in and check out and at the hotel bar. The room is quite big and cosy, not luxurious but OK,... More

Thank you for your encouraging words. Hotel Hansson is one of Stockholm’s last family run hotels, a popular choice, at times a bit too popular. We have 50 good seats in the restaurant and bar as well as 12 more seats in the lounge. Most week-ends we manage to convince our guests to come at separate times and all works... More

Disgusting bathroom in a old and neglected room ("classic" they say). I was two nights there and they moved me to a better room for just one night. Just check the pictures.... The second room was fine. You have to pay for wifi in the rooms. The breakfast is good though.

The hotel is situated in a quiet area and in a nice building. Our room was very spacious, clean and quite to our satisfaction. The staff seemed nice enough, but breakfast was a minor disappointment. There was little room to move about, both at the buffet and between the tables, there was a constant shortage of bread, and the staff... More

The area where the hotel is located is nice and peaceful. The hotel itself also looks nice especially the lobby. All of the staff are friendly and the service was good overall. The room was quite small and would need some improvements. The internet connection however was good. I understood that there was some kind of a renovation going on... More

Staying in Vasastan

Neighborhood Profile
Vasastan
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
