A very nice little hotel with modern rooms. Fabulous lobby with kind staff. The location is not at the main street, 10-15 min walk to Sergels torg. Great breakfast; waffles!! more

We stayed at Hellsten hotel on Jan 12th - 15h and had a brilliant time. We had booked the Rex hotel ( same owner) but we've got a free upgrade to hotel hellsten at the same price ( 2380 sek for 3 nights, just 86 euros/night). Room was exceptionally clean with very modern decor , with flat screen TVs and... more

Nice small hotel. Centrally located on quiet street. If staying there during the summer ask for one of the rooms with balcony (no extra charge). All rooms have one or more pieces of furniture the owner of the hotel has collected during his travels around the world. The same owner has another hotel right across the street (Rex Hotel) which... more

This is one of the newer hotels in Stockholm, with a lot of boutique hotel features. The rates are reasonable, the rooms are clean and modern, with flat screen TVs and gray slate bathrooms. The hotel features lots of exposed brick and sleek metal. There is an excellent breakfast, served in a sunny room with outdoor seating. There is also... more

I have to confess that we selected this hotel after watching Samantha Brown on the Travel Channel and we were not disappointed. Close to public transportation, the hotel is in a quiet area a little bit outside the city center. We loved the funky purple walls, the free internet in the lobby, the make your own waffles at breakfast and... more

I have travelled extensively with work and for pleasure (and was brought up in hotels), and this is one of the most outstanding hotels I have stayed in. And I'm a fussy punter, let me tell you. The place itself is utterly exquisite, and the staff are wonderfully friendly, and tirelessly helpful. I also happened to bump into the Manager/owner... more

I stayed here for a long weekend in Sept 2006. The hotel is absolutely great. The rooms are contemporary / minimalistic, and I simply adored the decor. There is even a plasma TV in the room! The breakfast was great, you could even make waffles for breakfast. The only minus is that it is about a 15-20 minute walk to... more

We stayed in the Hellsten with 2 other couples for a weekend break. We had expected the hotel to be decorated in strong colours (previous Trip advisor photos) but were somewhat surprised by the black walls in the reception area. The taxi driver (not Swedish) from had trouble finding Hellsten from the airport!! Our room (overlooking street) was comfortable although... more

We went to the Hellsten Hotel for a weekend in March. The entrance is very nice, quite cool with red velvet sofas, but the lobby has not much charm. Staff was very nice. We had a room on the street - I would advise that you try for a room on the courtyard, as they are probably much quieter -... more

We had originally booked a room at Rex hotel (same owner, across the street), but got a larger room for the same price (about 100 €/night/room) at hotel Hellsten instead. The location was good, within a walking distance from the city centre and old town. We loved the whole decor of the hotel, it had a really cozy atmosphere. The... more
