We found this hotel here on tripadvisor, and booked it, based on the good reviews and the preferable location. Yes, the boat is old, but we really enjoyed the atmosphere and used the lounge for playing board games in the evening. The view from the tiny window was amazing and the room was quite charming. Staff very friendly and helpfull.... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unique boat hotel next to Sodermalm. This is not luxury accommodation, so the "excellent" rating should be viewed as excellent for a clean, comfortable budget hotel. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the three we encountered most: Thomas, Lancy, and Hill. Lancy is delightful and provides excellent customer service. She... More

We had a very pleasant stay the first week of December. Very easy access to the old town 8 minute walk. The cabin was very small but we knew that when we booked and as we were there to see Stockholm we were only in the cabin to sleep. The cabin had a fabulous view of the city and was... More

I spent two nights on the ship and really enjoyed the uniqueness of the room. Although the room was tiny - it is, after all, an old passenger ship, it was perfect for me. It had a comfortable, "not quite full size" bed that was on a raised (about 3 feet) platform. There was a tiny bathroom with shower. There... More

Room was small, but it had a great porthole view of city hall!! Bathroom was newly renovated. My only complaint was that the walls are very thin, so we could easily hear conversations of our fellow guests. We had a space heater which we left off most of the evening because the room was warm even in mid-December. I would... More

15 minutes walking from the Central station. Good atmosphere in this boat hotel. I've been one night in a double room with bathroom. Really Small, you can stay there just for sleeping. But when you are traveling in My opinion is a waste to stay in your room. It was too Hot in the room, but i managed it sleeping... More

This hotel is exactly what the reviews has stated, except for the cold showers. The room are tiny but you know that before hand based on the reviews and it is a boat. The room was clean and cozy great for couples, the water was hot despite what previous reviewers stated. Everything went well staff is great, the view is... More

I picked this place (a hotel on a moored up ship) partly as it looked unusual and partly because it was cheaper than the average Stockholm hotel. I'm really glad I did as it had real character and was very comfortable. The room we had (a small double) was small but not tiny and the bed was very comfortable (an... More

There is a 'no refunds or changes' booking policy. I booked, realised I still had the dates for the night before selected and the hotel wouldn't change the booking for me, even contacting them immediately after my mistake. £80 down the drain. The hotel itself was done up quite nicely sometime in the past but now has water dripping from... More

I would be more likely to describe this as "good" rather than the choices of average or very good. As the title suggests, Loginn is great value in Stockholm. The rooms are, as you would expect, small but when you're out and about exploring the city you don't care much about the size of your room. The location on Sodermalarstrand... More

Staying in Mariatorget

Neighborhood Profile
Mariatorget
This rather quiet neighborhood revolves around a postcard-like park with a dramatic fountain in its center and is definitely one of Stockholm’s showcase neighborhoods. Mariatorget, a central residential area, is the best Stockholm has to offer when it comes to juxtaposing architectural masterpieces with sophisticated art galleries, coffee shops and bars. Stockholmers love to spend their weekends in the park or one of the nearby coffee shops, so come to Mariatorget to meet the locals. The northern part of Mariatorget boasts historic buildings, beautiful cobblestone streets, and one of Stockholm’s best observation decks, Monteliusvägen, from where you can see an amazing view of the city hall and Stockholm’s old town.
