Stayed here to attend a wedding in Stockholm. The room was pretty straightforward, with ensuite bathroom, tv and a large window. It seems quite rare to find hotel rooms in Stockholm that have both ensuite and window! All was clean. Basic but all perfectly adequate. Breakfast was nice - a basic Swedish spread of bread, crispbreads, cheese, hard boiled eggs.... More

I spent two nights at the hotel and can best describe the experience as adequate. The hotel is close to downtown and grocery stores, but lacks typical amenities. My room was small and was close to a door to the courtyard, so somewhat noisy. The breakfast in the morning was ok, but nothing special. The availability of staff, or lack... More

A small hotel situated close to shopping and restaurants - 200 meter walk and your on the top of Drottninggatan. Good standard on rooms and toilet. Good service level on staff. Basic breakfast. All in all good value for the money.

This hotel is conveniently situated within walking distance of the downtown area with plenty of cafés and restaurants in the near vicinity. It has a certain ambience and our room was quiet. We had accommodation at first floor level, with no lift and NO staff which made this difficult for we mature residents. The breakfast was adequate, but what was... More

This hotel is located in a nice part of town (Vasastan) but otherwise is nothing special, especially given the price range. There are rooms in an older and a newer building. I had a room in the former, which was clean, very small, and had nice high ceiling and wooden floor. The wc/shower was super-tiny: if you are anything above... More

The hotel is boutique style, with a nice large garden terrace on the ground floor. The breakfast room is sweet and full of atmosphere. My room was however located directly next to it, with the door opening in to the breakfast room. It was noisy in the early morning, when the ataff was preparing breakfast. Shower was not powerfull enough.... More

It should not be so difficult to check in to a hotel that you wonder whether you'll have to find another one. I arrived at the hotel at 9pm on a Friday, which is when I told them I would arrive. The front door was locked, and there was no one at the desk, so I used their intercom to... More

The place is on 15 minutes walking distance from everywhere in Stockholm Center. Rooms are all individual - my colleague had his bathroom almost the size of the room ... I had just a small one. Some of the rooms are on the building heading the street and more of them behind a small garden that has nice terrace tables... More

I've stayed at August Strindberg years ago and chose it again this December. Being three people in one room put is in room 107 on the ground floor. It's probably really nice in the summer since you can step out the door and enjoy almost your own patio, but the downside is that it's right next to the breakfast room... More

Staying in Vasastan

Neighborhood Profile
Vasastan
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
