The Rex is well located around the corner from an underground station and a short walk from bars and restaurants. We thought the public transport in Stockholm was fantastic, super efficient and used it loads. We stayed in one of the rooms on the top floor in the roof. It was small but a good standard of accommodation and was... more

For us this hotel was properly located; just 15 minutes walk from the Central Bus Station, 10 minutes from the main shopping street, then a short walk to Gamla Stan Island, and the same for Sodermalm. We stayed there only for one night, which made the room acceptable...because...there's a closet where only 2 coats will fit, lots of drawers but... more

Build in an old 1866 stone building this hotel really has a character with arches, stone stairs, and brick walls. It's also nicely decorated. Unfortunately my room was so small it was difficult to turn the suitcase around. Breakfast was modest, at least by Scandinavian standards. Location a little too remote. Staff was friendly and helpful, though. more

Positives... Designer hotel - very modern. Super friendly and helpful staff. Free internet access in Lobby. Use of sister hotel opposite for bar and lounge. Good breakfast bar and dining area. Great location - near the Metro (5 mins to the center of town) or 10 mins walk. 20 mins to the Old Town. Nice area - lots of trendy... more

This is a great hotel. Well designed, clean and comfortable. Beds are all a matter of taste because we found them SO comfortable! The rooms are small but this was not a huge problem for us as we were out most of the time. Room looks much nicer than it does in the photos. It has a trendy designer feel;... more

The Rex Hotel is extremely stylish, the staff are really helpful and friendly and overall this is a great value hotel in what can be an expensive city. The rooms are not overly large, but are very well designed and have everything you need. IThe breakfast is fairly standard, cereal, breads, cheese, jams, meats and eggs. The location is fine.... more

Stayed for 3 nights at the Rex. It's a good value, central hotel, and is decorated in a clean, modern style. The staff are all friendly and helpful, and the rooms are pleasant. On the negative side, the beds were super-uncomfortable. So little support that the first night's sleep gave me back pain the following day and I resorted to... more

We found the Rex a very quiet hotel with an excellent, central location. Yes, our room was compact but it was very clean and had a nice bathroom. If you wanted to spend a considerable amount of time in your hotel then maybe it might be a bit too functional but if, like us, you wanted a nice hotel base... more
