A very quiet neat and classy hotel with excellent service. The price is reasonable. The hotel gave us a feel of authentic Sweden homestay. The architecture was admirable. Though the space a little less compared with Hotels in other countries, later realized that to be an important Swedish characteristic in all restaurants and hotels in Sweden.

I've been staying at either one of the twin hotels Rex and Hellsten for as many years as they've been around. Rex and Hellsten are privately owned, informal, friendly in a relaxed, unfussy way. They are in a side street in old, recently renovated buildings with wooden board floors, thick walls and stone stair cases. I like the neighborhood which... More

The 3 Hellsten hotels are groupped together on a quiet street, 2 minutes from the Radmansgatan metro station in Stockholm. The location is good, as a great way to visit Stockholm is to buy the SL public transport card, so Rex Hotel is 3 metro stops away from the Old Town (Gamla Stan). The Rex hotel seems popular with tourist groups.... More

Rex hotel is located just 2 mins walk from metro station (2 stops from T-central station), it's convenient to reach all tourist spots. Many café, restaurants, supermarkets nearby so that you can buy take away/snacks/ fruits/ drinks back to hotel~ The room is not big but enough for me as I am just traveling alone. The staff is nice &... More

Rex Hotel is a boutique hotel in the new Stockholm town. The location was very good, we walked to the old town several times, also all shopping streets and sightseeings are in a walkable distance or a couple of stops with the undeground. Overall the hotel was very good for the cost of the room, comparing to other hotels in... More

Although I arrived fairly early on a Friday evening, a sign on the door said to check-in across the road at the sister hotel where I had to wait for around 10 minutes for the lone receptionist to finish her phone call. Once back at the Rex, I was pleasantly surprised by my room - although (extremely) small - particularly... More

Good location near to station and old town. Not expensive by Stockholm standards. Good breakfast and nice court yard for a coffee or beer. Rooms a bit small but clean. Overall excellent value for money. Would stay again when visiting Stockholm.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. We arrived late at night and had to check in across the street. The room was clean and an average size for European hotels. The bed was comfortable, the towels were soft, and the hardwood floor was nice. The location was good, but there are a lot of homeless people who... More

You get what you pay for with this hotel. It is a twenty minute walk to Gamla Stan and the Bus Terminal for the airport so its location is convenient. The free breakfast was lovely and free WiFi is a bonus. Our room was tiny but clean and comfortable. We had no air conditioning (during a heat wave) but we... More
