This hotel was great. Terrific staff, contemporary clean rooms, and great location. We travelled to Finland, Sweden and Norway and this was the best hotel on our 2 week trip. The hotel featured a great internet station with two computers, complete with complimentary coffee bar. Breakfast was great, though not included in room price. The weather was hot and so... more

Ask for room 608. If it,s free take it. Very nice room on the 6:th floor. Order the Shrimp salad from roomservice, sit on the balcony and eat and look at the park below. more

We stayed in Stockholm for a couple of nights in July. We booked into Hotel Rival based on all the good recommendations on here and I can honestly say we were not disappointed. We stayed in a basic room room, which was quite small but really well designed with a great bathroom and a nice big television with DVD player.... more

We stayed here for three nights in room 405, a "deluxe balcony". The room was smallish, but attractively decorated with a very large and comfy bed, individual reading lights, chairs and desk. The balcony also had two chairs and a small table, and overlooked the park (until the awnings came down in the sunshine and cut off most of the... more

I´ve spent just a night at Rival but it was excellent! The Hotel staff is very friendly and helps whatever you ask them for. The breakfast is great and the room was fantastic! Next time I´ll be back for sure. A nice place to feel like you´re at home! The bed was very comfortable, I loved the Teddy that was... more

Last time we stayed in Stockholm, we used the Sheraton. No complaints there, however it was like so many other hotels...rather uniform and impersonal. In complete contrast to that, you have the Rival!. There is simply nothing to complain about in this hotel, from the moment you enter its doors, you feel completely at ease. My only comment is one... more

I stayed at the rival about two weeks ago. Modern isn't usually my style, but I think I would have moved into my room permanently if I could. The bed was one of the most comfrotable I've slept on, and the decor was just great. (I loved the window in the shower!) It was absolutely wonderful. The staff were very... more

After my original plans for a week-end in Stockholm fell apart at short notice, I needed to find somewhere quickly. I checked on Trip Advisor and contacted Hotel Rival and there were full, but 24 hours later, they called ME back and said they had a cancellation and could accomodate me for the week-end. Like most of the other reviews,... more

Stockholm is expensive - so value for money is tough to judge. However, our (twin) room was quite small, but sufficient for our needs. Worth noting that the hotel breakfast (when included) is well worth having, not only is it comprehensive, fresh and tasty, but also it is served until 11:30am at weekends and 10:30 weekdays, so it's very relaxed... more

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We arrived rather early in the morning (before 9am), expecting to be turned away until check in time, to find that our room was already available. We were also encouraged by the staff to take advantage of our early arrival and partake of breakfast straight away (even though technically not entitled to it on... more
