I am Italian and I decided to spend 10 days solo in Sweden to enjoy its beauties, culture and nature. The city is truly interesting and if you have the chance to explore some further sites the adventure begins.. Talking about Hotel Vanadis, all in all it was not a big deal finding it, because Stockholm subway is easy and... More

This is one of the cheapest hotels in Stockholm during the winter, especially when choosing a hotel room without windows. However, the rooms without windows are not only narrow, but also poorly ventilated, so they certainly should not choose. Therefore, if you have not booked a room with a window, ask in the reception room upgrade for a small additional... More

Pictures on web shows the size of the room, but it appears tinier when you are there. It is strategic, close to city, close to metro, close to McDonald's, close to the library, close to Hard Rock Cafe, provides simple breakfast. Slightly up on a tiny hilly spot. Free Wifi. Shared bathroom. Overall not bad.

This location is similar to an outdated hostel. The rooms are lacking comfort, space, and functionality with bad lighting. You pay extra if you want a Window in your room. Bathrooms are small, and very far away down long hallways from most rooms. Breakfast is lacking substance. WiFi is not that good. You can spend your money better else where.

This hotel is in a good location very close to the city centre and 10 minutes of walk from the metro station, but the rooms are very little and it only has common toilets. It looks more like an hostel than an hotel. The breakfast is quite good.

Rooms were tiny. I know the pictures show them, you really do not appreciate lack of size till your there. No windows made it stuffy. Beds were not comfy and sheets didn't stay in bed well. Bathroom facilities were not particularly clean. But they have improved shower storage since some other review had been written. We also woke up with... More

I stayed here during a weekend trip to Stockholm with my boyfriend. It's about a 20 minute walk to the central square and there's bus stops nearby that can take you in and out of the inner city. Our room was small, meaning there was nowhere to unpack our clothing, but that's my only complaint about it. The room was clean,... More

Staying in Vasastan

Neighborhood Profile
Vasastan
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
