My friend and I stayed here for five days in January and we found the hostel really friendly. I have read bad reviews of it on here but we didn't experience too much noise and we didn't object to taking our shoes off! Yes, it was a bit noisy, but it's a hostel and hostels are noisy because they tend... more

Really a nice place to stay! The backpackers is really a decent, clean and very central place to spend your days in Stockholm. Stayed there 3 nights and don't really have anything negative to say about it! It is really recommendable to young travellers who are on visit in Sweden's capital! I give it 4 out of 5, just because... more

Overall we came away from here feeling good about the place, but there are definitely some issues to be resolved. We had a twin room which was one bunk bed, tiny room, but that was no problem as it was cheap in an expensive city. It was clean and that's the main thing. The facilities were pretty good. The kitchen... more

People seem to really like this hostel, but I definitely did not. I backpacked through Norway, Denmark, and Sweden, staying solely in hostels, and this was one of the worst hostels I stayed in in Scandinavia. As a hostel, it wasn't bad. But compared to hostels in Scandinavia, it just didn't stack up. I find that hostels in Scandinavia for... more

Sad to hear that we couldn't meet your expectations on City Backpackers. If it could help I just want to give some comments on your impressions of City BackPackers. We don't have any "nightly rates" that we charge up on arrival. What we do have is a higher weekend price for bookings made more than one week in advance. Wich...

First and foremost, this is a hostel, not the Ritz-Carlton and anyone planning on staying in a hostel should be aware of this. I was seeking to visit Stockholm on a tight budget and found that City Backpackers was just what I needed. I stayed in an 8 person female room, which was quite and comfortable the entire time. The... more

I am amazed by the 5 star ratings this place is getting from other travellers. I have stayed in some fanatstic hostels and this is not one of them. This is just another run of the mill hostel. It has a silence policy after 11pm which no-one enforces. The showers are communal and anyone can see you in the showers... more

We spent 4 nights in the 6 person apartment that has a small kitchen and ensuite toilet and shower. The hostel is a nice facility in a great location. Our only complaint is with the front desk people that do not enforce the rules that are posted everywhere. Rules include: silence after 23:00 (11 pm) and no partying/drinking at the... more

I booked this hostel at hostelbookers.com at the rate of GBP17.46. Compared to all the hostels and hotels in Sweden, the price is very reasonable. The female bathroom of this hotel is very clean. The receptionists are all very nice and friendly, like all the other Swedish people. There are many computers with internet connection available, so staying connected to... more

It's a very confortable place. While stayin there I had the chance to know a lot of people from different sides of the world. Backpackers (as the name suggests) is the perfect place for REAL tavellers. It offers a lot of services, it has a kitchen when you can cook whatever you want (Stockholm is the most expensive city I've... more
