Cheap, comfortable and well situated - this is basically what one looks for when searching for accommodation. And when one finds it, there's hardly anything left to wish for. The Red Boat is exactly this kind of place. Situated in the heart of Stockholm, it offers really much for a very reasonable price. Cosy and clean premises, very helpful staff... More

I have a penchant for things that are a little 'different' and the Red Boat triggered all these senses. A little walk away from the Gamla Stan, this is a cozy and helpful establishment. The view from the deck was interesting - a glimpse of the lit up Townhall and Old city together. I really wish I had more time... More

We stayed in the white boat, the Ran, for 7 nights. We had a double bed, which I would not recommend since it's pretty small. In fact, the whole cabin is small, but it's a boat and I didn't expect it to be bigger. The most important thing is that it was very clean, as well as the toilets and... More

The Red Boat Hostel - which isn't in the Red Boat at all but the one behind - is a novel, cheap way to spend a few nights in Stockholm. The rooms are small, like you would expect and the beds like shelves. The room smelt quite musty and it wasnt until we were due to leave that we realised... More

We stayed on the boat for 3 nights in November. The twin bunk cabin was cosy, but very clean and comfortable. All the bathrooms were spotless every day and it was surprisingly quiet during the night. Breakfast was good - make sure you buy it the day before as price goes up on the day. Best thing about the boat... More

I stay in this hôtel for two weeks ago. I am deeply disappointed. The staff is really unfriendly and unpolite, the rooms a not really clean, the toilets even not. I hesitate to leave the hôtel before the end. It was a bad experience and i do not recommend you to choose it. There is many other boat hotel which... More

What a fun adventure to sleep docked in the harbor across from Gamla Stan. The views from the upper deck are awesome, the dining room and sitting area are quirky and fun, the staff is delightful, the rooms are cute (bunkbeds just like the crew slept in). If you can stand tight sleeping quarters and able to climb into an... More

The red boat is divided into 2 parts: the original red boat and a white boat behind. The reception area in the red boat serves both. The "hotel" is in the white boat and the hostel and some private rooms are on the red one. We stayed in a private room, shared facilities on the red boat. 1 adult, 1... More

Well, I think this will give a different opinion to most of the other reviews but I would point out up-front that we stayed in the hotel section, not the hostel. On arrival, we were given our room, which was in the other boat - the plain, white one - which we hadn't known before. Not the end of the... More

Stayed just one night with a friend. Allowed early check-in when we arrived at 8am and were exhausted after a night of traveling. Superb location and room was clean. They even gave a complimentary post card. Although breakfast is not included, the price is worth it. Great array of food. A cozy restaurant located in the hostel and bathrooms were... More
