This Hotel is a very beautiful building located 10 minutes’ walk from the Zinkesdamm subway station. As I was traveling in Stockholm backpack style, I stopped there for two night in a 14 persons dorm mixed room. Even if the room was big and full of people, everybody was very quiet and nice. There are no lockers so you need... More

I was so happy that I stayed at this wonderful hostel. The private room was small but clean, and so quiet, as I had a window facing the lush community gardens, no traffic noise at all, what a treat in the middle of a large city. The walk to the metro station was about 10 or 15 minutes, but traveling... More

In an expensive and busy city, this hostel was a great deal and good location. It is not too far from a subway stop and a doable walk to the old town. The rooms were clean. They have onsite, secure parking for a reasonable rate. The communal kitchen was handy - you could pick up groceries or take put Thai... More

A friend and I stayed at Hotell Zinkensdamm a few months ago. We were looking to stay somewhere inexpensive but not low quality and this hostel was great! We arrived before we were able to check-in but we stored our bags in a storage room while we explored Stockholm. Our room was basic with beds and lockers which was perfect... More

I am 56 and decided that while in Stockholm I wished to save money on accomodation which is expensive. I went for a 4 bed male dorm - my first experience of such accomodation. I was very pleased at how it worked out. Bed was clean and comfortable, I had a locker for my bag which I felt was safe.... More

Recommended hostel, worths the price as you consider that Stockholm is insanely expensive. The staff is really friendly and the rooms/toilets quite clean. The only bad thing is the non-included breakfast, but there is a nice kitchen which is perfect to cookyou own meal and meet some awesome travellers!

The location of this hostel is not bad: it takes 5 minutes to reach the subway station, about 40 minutes to get to Gamla Stan. The hostel is located in a very quiet area: just near a great park and not far from the sea and a small beach. We got a room on the underground floor at the end... More

I've been in this hotel just 2 days because i had some problem bookin' other hotels, and it was the only one accepted me for these 2 nights. At the moment i didn't want to stay there because i thought it's more an hostel than an hotel, but...guys this place is awesome. The staff is very nice and everybody are... More

It’s little bit away from the city centre and nice quite place to stay. You have a nice park next to it which connects s to the river at the end. There are several super markets nearby which opens till late and the subway station is closer too. You don’t get breakfast free and it cost around £9. Staffs were... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Zinkensdamm is a 3-star Superior Hotel situated in the midst of the picturesque plantation plots by Tantolunden at Södermalm. Despite the central location, the hotel is surrounded by several green areas which infuse a relaxing atmosphere. The decorations of the hotel rooms are inspired by the old south of Stockholm while still maintaining all the modern facilities. All rooms are provided with private shower and wc as well as a flat-screen TV with free cable channels. Zinkensdamm Hotel can offer a wide range of rooms, from a single room for the lone traveler to a family room to the traveler visiting Stockholm with kindred. The green areas in the area offer lovely jogging tracks and path ways in a cultural-historical environment. Feel free to upgrade to one of our superior rooms and get a mini-bar and tea/coffeemaker in the room. These types of rooms consist of either a double bed or two separate singlebeds. In the morning we set the table for our generous breakfast buffet with scrambled eggs, bacon, yoghurt with berries, soured milk, various types of juices, coffee/tea, freshly baked bread, fruits and a wide range of different cold cuts and spreads to put on the bread. The hotel is constantly being renovated, yet maintaining the special atmosphere of the genuine Södermalm. ... more   less
