Stayed at Birger Jarl, when visiting Stockholm for business. The hotel looks much better on the website than live. Nice reception area, but worn out hallway. The room (single room) was OK at the tops furniture nice but very crammed and non personal. All in all adequate for a one night stay but not for a longer stay.

I stayed at the Birger Jarl for one night and will gladly recommend the hotel for other to use. The location is a little off, but still within walking distance to the center and the sub is running close to the hotel. Fine rooms, good service and pleasant environment.

Stayed here and must say that the hotel was fantastic. Firstly it's not central. It's about a 2km walk from the Central Station. If its a nice day you can walk it in 30 minutes but if not then a cab ride costs about 100 SEK (ten pounds/Euros) Hotel is in a good location with nice bars and resturants around.... More
