During many years I have visited this hotel in business. Very friendly staff with low turnover. Every room is different, however, in most cases I have been satisfied. This is not a modern fancy hotel. Also breakfast is quite simple but enough for me. Hotel is centrally located, which is important for me.

Stayed at the BWP Hotell Kung Carl for 3 nights..staff was kind and friendly, got a business room on the 6th floor, which was really spacious and clean - nice view! breakfast was sorted and good - i missed a little bit the delicious swedish pastries on the buffet - but all the other dishes (meat, fish, bread, cheese, fruits,... We booked this hotel since we wanted a unique boutique experience in Stockholm. We have visited Stockholm many times and knew exactly what we wanted. When we arrived at the hotel, we got our room. A standard room. When we came into the room, it was extremely small and the toilet was SO tiny. The worst thing was the renovation... More

I have always stayed here for my business visits the last 5 years, but feel it's time to change. The location is good, but the rooms are starting to feel a bit dated. You have to ask for shampoo etc in the reception - for me a very strange setup for a 4 star hotel. My hairdyer did not work... More

We arrived at the hotel and found the entire building covered in plastic. We were told only half of the exterior was being remodeled at a time, but then they decided to do it all at once. You cannot see out of any of the windows. The room was dingy and depressing, and without any natural light, we decided we... More

Best Western Hotell Kung Carl is a great hotel situated in a very central spot in Stockholm. Across from the hotel is an upscale shopping area with an ample number of restaurants and parks. It is within walking distance to the city centrum and a ten to fifteen minute walk to Gamla Stan. The "Hop on Hop off" sightseeing bus... More

This is a lovely hotel. It manages to seem like a botique style hotel despite being part of Best Western. All the rooms are individually decorated and beautiful. Stay clear of the lowest category though, those rooms are tiny. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is good and open untill quite late, which is good for a business traveller.... More

To start with, it's not possible to sleep after 8am due to renovations which you will not be informed of ahead of time, which itself is deceitful. The hotel completely lacked the friendly welcome that I am used to receiving at so many other hotels, it was like they could care less if you were there or not. We asked... More

I visited this hotel for one night, Friday to Saturday, with my teenage children. The location is excellent. The Gröna Lund amusement park and the city center are within walking distance. We had a nice family room on the 4th floor. The breakfast was average, not bad but I've had better. The room was nice and the beds comfortable. The... More

Kung Karl is for the the traveller that like to be in the central part of Stockholm and who like classic old style and decor. This is also for the travellers who are tired of designer concept hotels where you have to look out of the window to see if you are in Stockholm or LA. The standard is average... More
