Its almost impossible to find anything to complain about when staying at Stallmästaregården. It has an idyllic location by the water, beautifully decorated hotel rooms and a fantastic restaurant. But I simply couldn't give it 5 out of 5 since when I arrived my room was not finished even though I arrived later then scheduled. I can still highly recommend... more

It was a while ago we stayed in this hotel (Feb 2008) but I have to write a review anyway! We were only in Stockholm briefly for 2 nights, so it worked out we got to see one full day in the city, but we crammed in so much it was unbelievable, I always feel looking back like we were... more

Stallmastaregarden is exactly what I look for when traveling to Europe--a charming atmosphere that captures the history and unique qualities of the country I am visiting. Stallmastaregarden manages to combine the best of the old and the new. It's historic and charming, with elegant, updated comforts. Rooms are in a new building which was built to look like the old... more

We stayed here in July, 2008 for a 4-day holiday to Stockholm. We took a taxi from the airport as we got in late but I'd advise you to take the bus that stops a _very_ short distance from the hotel and we took that when we returned to the airport and it worked brilliantly for a lot less money.... more

We had lunch in the restaurant and it felt like being sent back to the 1980:es. Sloppy service and when we complained on the not boiled hard potatoes - the answer we got was -thats the way they shold be !? The restuarant also use the 80:es formula of putting on 300% on the wineprices - more than 900 sek... more

I've stayed in Stockholm a number of times, and opted for this visually charming, traditional hotel. Situated on the banks of a lake, with walking and great scenery from the resteraunt. The hotel is clean, stylish, well staffed and supplies superb, but Stockholm priced food! Note that some rooms, will overview the construction of a major road interchange, and views... more

we have stayed at this hotel for 3 days in July and we loved it. The hotel is nicely decorated, and the room was very clean, stylish and roomy. the bathroom was huge and great, and they offer an amazing breakfast with tons of food and a huge selection of everything: cheeses, cereals, cold cuts pastry, fruit. the personnel is... more

Nice quiet hotel close to the center. Comfortable rooms, great restaurant and the best of all is the closeness to the swedish nature. Perfect for business or a romantic weekend. I am in Stockholm for business and pleasure frequently and this is my new favourite! more

This is a really nice hotel. It is set in a lovely park overlooking a lake, with breakfasts served in summer on a gorgeous terrace looking out over the lake, dog walkers, joggers etc. The decor manages to combine being stylish/contemporary, whilst also being relaxed, quirky and unpretentious. The food is excellent - the restaurant is great (although not cheap)... more

We are from Columbus, OH and stayed for a week at the Stallmastaregarden from July 1st - 8th, 2007. Overall, this is a wonderful hotel. It is very clean, the setting on the lake is beautiful, and the staff is as friendly and helpful as you will ever find. As you will read in other reviews, this hotel is literally... more
