We've stayed on the ship for several nights as a family with kids. We have lived in a large family room with a great view of the bay and Old City. Our kids really enjoyed the bunk beds :-) Overall the stay was pleasant. The room was very clean, we had a sink in a room and there were a... More

We had a cabin on the ship itself which we quite a charming old vessel. The cabin is small as you would expect but quite cosy and well heated during the winter. Naturally you have limted storage space but the excellent location means you can walk to most of the major sights and use the ship as a sleeping base.... More

This hostels location was awesome! The rooms were good and the atmosphere was very quite and relaxed. Breakfast was also pretty decent. The only thing I wish was different was my own fault... Should've booked a room on the ship!

Very good location close to old town. The rooms are clean and a unique cabin experience. Also the breakfast was good and the view to the old town is magnificent. I strongly suggest for people who like something different. The boat top deck is a great place to chill out and relax.

I stayed on the AF Chapman for 2 nights Nov 2013. The hotel/hostel is immediately recognisable from some didistance by its masts, and very close to the centre. I found check in and out very straightforward and the boat felt very secure for a lone female traveller. I was concerned about sharing a bathroom but I needn't have been as... More

Let me start by saying that I stayed at the Af Chapman quite a few years ago, before smart phones and laptops were common while traveling... i was with a friend, and this was the first place we stayed on our Stockholm adventure. What a unique find! The land lobby area was great, with breakfast and computers for use. we... More

Beautiful, well located and properly clean. It's better to stay on "land", since the boat might shake a bit, and you can feel a lot on the tips of the boat. Great breakfast for a hostel, best I had in a long time. Good infra-structure and staff.

What a great little ship. The quarters are like dorms, clean and open. You're right on the harbor. The linens are a little scratchy and it can get loud when people come back at night (there isn't a lot of insulation between the walls of the boat it seems), but all in all a very cool experience. Make sure not... More

Having just arrived from the airport, my partner and I headed straight to Chapman House (not the boat) and were delighted to see it situated in such a lovely setting (although, in central Stockholm I think one would struggle to find somewhere that isn't lovely). Sadly, our reception set an uncomfortable atmosphere due to the man who checked us in,... More

I was booked into Budget accommodation in the house. DON'T do it. Terrible. Hot clammy dormitory on it's last legs. Horrible shower with a strange smell. The breakfast dining area is in the house which isn't bad but I felt overpriced for a hostel. I ate twice in 6 days. The boat is better but an extra price which I... More
