Granted, we had the benefit of a Hilton HHonors program upgrade to a junior suite (with views!), but our stay here was fabulous. We loved visiting Stockholm for the first time and what's nice about this location is that it's near public transit and also many nice (some funky) shops, restaurants, neighborhoods, etc. Yet there's still easy access to "Stockholm... Very convenient location in Stockholm, extremely pleasant staff from the moment I entered the lobby to the time I left. I was on business in Stockholm for 4 days and my stay at the Hilton Stockholm Slussen was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, I was grateful to be upgraded (thanks to Hilton points) and thus had booked a cheap... More

We stayed here last August and from all the Hiltons I have been this is the best situated. Little caffes, museum and shopping is all within walking distance away. (And we walked with 5 -year old boy) Breakfast was good and we especially like the fact that you could make your own waffle! Nice idea! Only thing that really bothers... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. I am happy to read that you appreciated the location and the breakfast. and yes, being able to make your own waffles has proven to be a success, especially with children. I am less happy reading your point about the lack of atmosphere that you experienced. This is something that we are working... More

Conveniently located in Slussen, the Hilton is perfectly located to explore Stockholm. It is a five minute walk to Gamla Stan, Old Town or 15 minutes walk to central Stockholm. Alternately, take the subway (look for the big T signs). Cost is 44 kroner one way. Buy tickets at the co-located convenience store for 36 kroner. Save more if you... More

I just stayed here in Stockholm September 29th through October 1st. Not great I'm afraid. They have an aversion to a simple thing called service. I think it's a Swedish thing I'm afraid. The room was very small on the Executive Floor. The lounge was OK, evening cocktails serving australian reds and whites which was nice but it stops there.... More

Firstly the location, the hotel is in a good position for access into and out of Stockholm, and for pedestrian access to both the historic old town, and the newer town. The price of this convenience is its location over and next too no fewer than 6 (possibly more) transport routes. My room was located over six lanes of road,... More

Clean comfortable room, lovely marble bathroom (we like heated floors!). Excellent breakfast buffet, exec lounge quiet, well provisioned. Very comfy bed, sound proofing very good, so a great sleep. We had a room facing the old town: fabulous view especially at sunset. Walking distance from all the major sites, and right next to the subway if your feet are sore.... More

Had a certain expectation of quality in choosing Hilton and while this hotel was well located close to old city and waterfront, we were disappointed with a tiny room and bathroom. However it met our needs. Recommend taking taxi from airport rather than hassling with trains as probably similar cost. The decor and layout are a bit odd, but the... More

This is a top notch Hilton situated on the Stockholm waterfront that is ideally located close to the metro and in walking distance of the Old Town ( Gamla Stan) as well as close to many museums. Although there is no swimming pool it has the biggest Gym I have ever seen in any Hilton - great for working off... More

This hotel has been recently updated and is very well maintained. On the negative side, because of various expansions, the layout is quite convoluted and to get to our room we had to schlep our bags down a stairway and use the elevator in another area than the lobby. Having just arrived on a transatlantic flight, we were pretty tired... More

Staying in Slussen

Neighborhood Profile
Slussen
A unique mix of grotesque 1960s concrete urban vision and cosy historical Swedish brick houses, Slussen has become one of Stockholm’s most architecturally edgy and controversial neighborhoods. Plans to rebuild the area have been on the agenda for decades, however, so far no agreement could be reached, which is the reason for the continuing decay of its brutalist substance. Nevertheless, the museums and the main shopping street, Götgatan, attract both locals and tourists with Sweden’s most fashion-forward clothing retailers, hipster coffee shops and restaurants. Once the lights are out, the area turns into a bustling nightlife haven, catering to all preferences, from posh hotel bars to sweaty underground nightclubs. There is no better place to experience the clash between old and new Sweden.
