A slight hitch at reception, where we were informed we'd been upgraded from the queen room booked - initially I was delighted, as I never get upgraded - but then we were informed that the one thing we had specifically requested on booking, a shower rather than a bath, was not available in the upgraded room. So I asked to... More

Located in heart of Gamle Stan, this hotel has it all: comfortable and charming room, fantastic, very helpful staff, walking distance to everything (right next to the Royal Palace), and a great breakfast and tea in the afternoon. Walking throughout this hotel (built in the 15thc), you will find antiques and paintings and of course, much history about Lady Hamilton.... More

Location is great, just in the heart of Stockholm, most sightseeings are in a walking distance. If you like places with a charm of antiquities this hotel is for you. Staff is friendly, breakfast is excellent and served in a cosy room with a windows on a street of old town. Standard double room was rather small with a comfortable... More

Many years ago I stayed in the sister hotel the LORD NELSON for which reason we returned to the same group. The location is excellent but the hotel needs a good refurbishing especially a paint brush. Bath room amenities were minimal and not of good quality ( but then we always take back up soap and shampoo). Our room was... More

Wonderful location. Our room was on 4th floor and had an old world charm with complete modern conveniences. Ample size room .. comfortable bed. You will feel immersed in the history and charm of the old city. It is everything it promised. More

The hotel is located in the old town. This is very touristy, but we were tourists, and as such I think this is a good place for a short stay in an idiosyncratic non chain set up. The staff are friendly and helpful, Breakfast is good, as are the beds and lighting in the room. The room we were in... More

This is an excellent hotel. Clean, charming in decor; personal and attentive service and a lovely room allocated to us on the fourth floor which we understnad to be the only floor with air conditioning. The breakfast was excellent and tastefully presented. The only ( slight) gripe is the absence of coffee making facilties in the room but this seems... More

My wife and I stayed here during a business trip in August - Sept., 2010. The hotel was assigned by the meeting consolidator. The positives: - It is a quaint, very old building in Gamla Stan, just a stone's throw from the Royal Palace and a short walk by parliament to the shopping of Drottninggatan. You can get anywhere in... More

This charming small hotel is a refurbished old building in the middle of Gamla Stan, the ancient section of Stockholm. Our room was comfortable and nicely furnished and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The Gamla Stan location has pluses and minuses. The plus is that you are in the center of the city within walking distance of most... More

This hotel is located in Gamla Stan - the 'old town', almost next door to the King's Palace. Stockholm is all peninsulars joined by bridges and the old town is a delightful network of shops and cobbled streets with a convenient T-bahn (underground) that takes you one stop away to central Stockholm. The hotel is a treasure trove of collected... More
