Me and my fiancée were looking for a romantic place to stay for a few nights, and we wanted to stay in Gamla Stan. Lady Hamilton totally fulfilled (an exceed) our expectations. Here's a few notes: - Very friendly staff, and really good service overall. Not just when we were there, we got a question before the trip and our... More

Upon arrival we paid the receptionist in cash in full over 2700 KR, which he counted. He then sent us to a room - the room was small and very hot. I had booked a superior room for that price. So I returned to reception- there was no apology, we were given keys to a superior room. I understand a... More

The hotel offers you next door living to the Swedish royalties, and with walking distance to all things good in Stockholm. Gamla Stan is a bit touristy but tourist attractions can be there for a reason and Gamla Stan surly is! The hotel it selves are romantic and very familiar with one of the best Swedish styled breakfasts I encountered... More

This is a small hotel, centrally located in the old city of Stockholm. I got a room on the top floor, and in May, this was a bit warm for me. But, nice room, great details, very personable, it's kind of like a home. Very nice and professional staff. Probably better for a couple than for a family, since it... More

I agree with most reviews which affirm that the location is great. Well, they are right in the middle of Gamla Stan, one of the most beautiful old towns in Europe. However location is not the only highlight. The whole interior is very cozy and well decorated. The breakfast is great - their homemade berry juices rock! And staff is... More

Located right in the middle of the Old Town within easy walking distance of the Metro and the main sights of the central part of Stockholm. The hotel is quirky, homey and comfortable. Breakfast is included - no espresso available unfortunately for those of us who detest filter coffee - but the food is plentiful, wholesome and varied. The bed... More

We only had one night in Stockholm between flights, but I'm glad we spent it here. First, the bed: it was the softest, most luxurious hotel bed I have ever slept on. The bathroom was a decent size for such an old building, complete with a jacuzzi, although it did have the usual partial shower door (a quirk of Europe... More

Arrived and got upgraded to larger room on the spot. Spacious bathroom has a jaccuzzi hot tub in it. Large sauna downstairs. Dry Finnish sauna with electric heater, double showers, dunk tank made in the place of an old water well, fireplace, and a sitting room. Can be used as a public sauna or reserved for private use for two... More

If you happen to be in Old Town Stockholm, and want to stay in a fabulously refurbished building from the 15th century, I highly recommend one of the 34 rooms in the Lady Hamilton that are named after wild flowers of Sweden. Great paintings, antiques, naval objects, and Swedish folk art are discreetly placed throughout the hotel. If you enjoy... More

I arrived early and needed to use the public toilet. There was tried feces on the floor. Later, my room # 19 had a cracked window, no soap in the shower dispenser and a rug that has not seen a good shampooing for years. The staff was pleasant and tried to make good on the mistakes but it was rather... More
