Great location of the hotel, unbeatable in fact but even though we paid for a superior room there was hardly space to move around the bed in our room. The bed was rock-solid and both myself and my partner had terrible back and neck ache after our visit. The bathroom was in a poor condfition and there wasn't a proper... more

I stayed at this hotel for business and like recent reviews would say that the nautical theme is not just confined to the decor. My room was very much like a ships cabin - very small, but functional. There are no extras [tea tray, toiletries and such like] but that said I cannot say that I was disappointed by the... more

I was surprised by how small the room was. It was like a cabin in a ship. Just enough room for 1 person. No extras what so ever but still the basics were there. Nice bar. Friendly & vibey!. Good breakfast. Pretty good location more

Sjofartshotellet was perfectly located, just next to the old town and on the southern island of stockholm center. This southern island was very friendly and had great shopping and a relaxed atmosphere. The hotell was well worth the money, and had an excellent restaurant and breakfast. Apparently several of the rooms are with separate beds, which would be perfect if... more

For the price and location this hotel was very good for Stockholm. The single room I had was small and very basic, but everything worked fine and it was clean. The breakfast was very good with a great selection of food. I would reccomend this hotel to business and leisure travellers who will be out and about in Stockholm most... more

It was very hard to get a decent-price room in Stockholm the last weekend in May of 2007 but finally we found a superior room with a queen bed at Scandic Sjöfartshotellet for SEK 1240:- (~EUR 135:-) prepaid. Front desk service was very friendly and we felt welcomed immediately on arrival. The room itself was nothing special, completely lacking a... more

We booked online through Scandic website selecting a larger room view over the city - however we got a small room with a view of a multi-story car park. Hotel was noisy, lifts were un-reliable, and guests were arriving - well after check-in time at 14:00 - to find their 'room' was not yet ready. more

This place was more deserving of 3 and a half stars, eg no minibar or aircon in the rooms. The room was quite a good size and in a good state of repair. The hotel is very well-situated on the edge of Sodermalm & we could easily walk to most of Stockholm's attractions. The old town was 5 minutes walk... more

This is a converted seaman's hostel that has compact rooms that accommodate twin beds in L shape formation. The rooms have a naval theme and have Scandinavian wood furniture and flooring. The rooms are in a good state of repair and have telephone, internet access and satellite tv. The front desk were welcoming and helpful and the restaurant staff were... more
