Location is worth a lot, and if you want a good location close to old town and Söder then this is a good start. Also, on the plus side is a good hotel breakfast and staff. On the downside is however the most important thing, i.e. the rooms. They are small and tiny, they do need some refurbishing and you... More

I stayed in a singleroom during a business trip to Stockholm. The room was really small. The window was towards a heavy trafficed street and a building on the other side. Not a nice view. I tried the restaurant wich was beeing refurbished during my stay. I had a fish casserole that was not good. The breakfast was standard but... More

Great location two minute walk from the station and 5 minute walk to gamla Stan. Nice clean room. Toddler slept in bunk bed and still space for baby in cot. Not the hugest room but completely fine for our needs. There was no bath but a shower instead. Lovely breakfast and good price. Very happy with the stay.

One of the receptionists was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Also the rest of the staff was helpful. The location is ok, a short walk from the the harbour (Viking Line terminal) and the Old Town, right next to the subway Slussen. The buffet breakfast had a good selection and was tasty. The only complaint being that... More

When I booked the room I was very glad to have found an hotel on short notice, near my grand-children. Being tired arriving late on Wednesday evening I maybe was not in the best of moods checking-in but the young lady at the reception was able to meet my demands with a humorous flavour and performing her duties with all... The location is very good if you like the Southern part of Stockholm, standard rooms are very small but ok for a short stay, breakfast is good but the breakfast room was very crowded, stuff was very friendly.

Needed place to stay overnight to be at the Viking Terminal early on Saturday morning. The hotel is conveniently located close to the terminal and the old city of Stockholm, so easily accessible by foot also. The room was quite small, but clean and provided all the expected amenities. As I needed to depart before breakfast was served in the... More

Staying in Slussen

Neighborhood Profile
Slussen
A unique mix of grotesque 1960s concrete urban vision and cosy historical Swedish brick houses, Slussen has become one of Stockholm’s most architecturally edgy and controversial neighborhoods. Plans to rebuild the area have been on the agenda for decades, however, so far no agreement could be reached, which is the reason for the continuing decay of its brutalist substance. Nevertheless, the museums and the main shopping street, Götgatan, attract both locals and tourists with Sweden’s most fashion-forward clothing retailers, hipster coffee shops and restaurants. Once the lights are out, the area turns into a bustling nightlife haven, catering to all preferences, from posh hotel bars to sweaty underground nightclubs. There is no better place to experience the clash between old and new Sweden.
