Convenient location close to the metro station, and very close to the center. 15 minutes walk to the castle and old town. The gym is far above average hotel gyms, with free weights, squat rack, dumbels and machines. We were also very satisfied with the breakfast - very high quality.

This is a nice central place to stay in Stockholm. The rooms have a touch of Scandi-chic are nicely designed. The lobby is like a library but the bar isn't open past 2300. Not great for us when we got back from dinner. Only real letdown are the beds. They are Swedish style with a mattress pad on a sprung... More

This is a very quaint, quiet hotel. tastefully decorated and superbly staffed I thoroughly enjoy staying here. As a solo traveler it has everything I could require however I'd be concerned staying in the room I had with a partner as there would be a bit of bumping into each other. The hotel is superbly well equipped with an excellent... More

I stayed at the Mornington Hotel on my recent trip to Sweden. The lobby is a booklover's dream, decorated with book-filled cases. Then you go to your room and restaurant and find even more books. Alas for me, most of the books were in Swedish, which I can neither read nor speak. The decor is a mix of funky and... More

Nicely decorated room facing a pleasant typical Stockholm neighbourhood courtyard. Friendly staff, fab location, only a couple of minutes away from underground (one stop on Red Line to T-Centralen and Cityterminalen). Tried the sauna next to gym in basement. Ace. Well kept and tidy. Breakfast was nice, they do cater for special dietary requirements. Not all cooked item hot all... More

This was a rare find in the heart of Stockholm being very reasonably priced considering everything else in the city. The rate for one night was only 50% more than the taxi fare from the airport ! The hotel has a great location near to town with lovely shops and metro nearby. There was also a bottle shop, supermarket and... More

We had a lovely stay at Mornington Hotel - friendly check-in and got access to a room even though we were early. The gym facilities are better than basic (opt for the superior room for an extra SEK 100 for unlimited access) and the breakfast fantastic. The bed was not particularly great but I appreciated the décor and atmosphere in... More

The Mornington is a mid-range hotel in the midst of an expensive part of an expensive town. The rooms are nice enough, although quizzically devoid of drawers to put socks etc. into, and with a semi-transparent bathroom door (oh, and finding earplugs on the table doesn't bode well - although they're unnecessary unless you're a very light sleeper!). The breakfast... More

It's a cozy hotel with small rooms and small bathrooms. Rooms are well decorated and have all the amenities you need. Although, the minibar is a little depressing. The hotel is close to Systembolaget (Liquor store), maybe just two steps away. You'll also find bars and restaurants just across the street. The best part of the hotel's locations is its... More

The location is of course great, the hotel tries to be very casual and succeeds quite well. Nothing to complain in the room, service was fine and breakfast was better than normally at the hotels of this 3/4 star level. A good stay overall.

Staying in Ostermalm

Neighborhood Profile
Ostermalm
With its high-end shopping facilities and Michelin-starred restaurants, Östermalm is definitely the poshest part of central Stockholm. Here you will find Stockholm’s most majestic residential buildings, a beautiful market hall from 1888 displaying gourmet foods from around the world and the Swedish Royal Dramatic Theatre with its awe-inspiring architecture. At night, legendary nightclubs make the perfect location to observe the natives (and those aspiring to become natives of this exclusive neighborhood) in their natural habitat and to enjoy the latest produce of the Swedish house music scene.
