Hotel Hellstens Malmgard is an historic property, so an interesting property — no two rooms alike, narrow hallways and winding stairways, lovely courtyards. It is in a quiet, inner-city residential neighbourhood — a welcome oasis at the end of a day of sightseeing in bustling Stockholm. While it is not in the centre of the city, it is very easy... More

A very quiet, nice little hotel in the south of Stockholm (Södermalm). Very close to the Tunnelbana (Metro) which makes it easy to get anywhere in Stockholm. Very friendly service, perfect breakfast, romm not too big but cosy with an even smaller bathroom (but very chic and state of the art). Three thumbs up for the nice winter garden where... More

We spent five nights at this charming hotel. It is a 30 minute walk from Gamla Stan but only five minutes from the t-bana at Zinkensdamm - so very convenient and yet quiet. A short walk takes you to a number of parks where you can picnic or swim. The hotel itself is delightfully furnished and comfortable. There is good... More

Centrally located in Södermalm, historic charm, good breakfast - and by good weather you can bring your breakfast into the patio or the garden! My room was small, but so was the price I paid for it. Staff was helpful and kind.

Great hotel close to the city, 5 minute walk to metro. This is an interesting hotel with a great breakfast. The hotel has good outdoor seating to enjoy your breakfast. Coffee and tea available during the day. Every room is quite different.

This is definitely not your cookie-cutter chain hotel. Located in a quiet neighborhood 5 minutes from the subway and 30 minutes from the Old Town (by foot), the atmosphere is that of a huge country farmhouse where every room is different. We opted for the largest category of room with a big comfy four-poster bed, plenty of space, and an... More

Dear Ms. Kathyin, We sincerely thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review. We greatly appreciate your positive comments regarding our hotel. Your feedback strengthens us and gives us new energy. As a private owned hotel where I have chosen to decorate every room in the mansion from 1770 individually I do feel like we are offering... More

Old hotel with queer deco sits a little out of city, you need to take a train here only 3 stops or so. From the station its a short walk but up hilll. The hotel has cobblestone and so is hard to drag your bag on it, I do wish they could put a flat surface just for travellers. There... More

Dear Ms Alka, We greatly appreciate your review. Your feedback enables us to strengthen our weaknesses and enhance your stay. Actually Södermalm is a part of the inner city but it’s true that our hotel is located 4 stops from the central station. For us it’s very important that our guest feel safe, and are pleased that you felt so,... More

Very nice old historical building. Was surprised by the size of the room, like a bed with the door, but it has also its charm and I had no problem with it, nice bathroom, but I would like to have some extra hooks to hang my things on. Comfortable beds and pillows, big TV screen, very quite surroundings. Good breakfast... More

We had read the excellent reviews on this hotel and decided to reserve a room for our 5 day visit to Stockholm. The "double" room given to us on our arrival was really small - with hardly enough room to move around the bed - plus the toilet/bathroom was so small, that it was impossible to have a shower without... Although this property is located at the periphery of Stockholm, the nearest subway (T) station takes just 5 minutes walk. The famed Old Town is just 3 stops away. There are plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood, which suit international palate including Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Western and even vegetarian. Hotel staff is friendly and offers solid advice on sightseeing tours.... More
