I just stayed one night in this beautiful old hotel. Staff at the reception and bar were somewhat formal. The bar is very nice. Mixture of old and "loungy". Very nice staff there. This is not a 5 star hotel. The room was below average, the bath was slightly above average. The carpet was minimal industrial quality with peeling seaming. The very uncomfortable sofa was upholstered in, again, industrial grade CARPET fabric. The drapes were stained. The headboard had loose fabric from (thank god, I guess) too many cleanings.
