We moved from the ugly, too-trendy-for-words Berns Hotel to someplace run by adults for adults, namely, the Hotel Diplomat. It was so fabulous in late June, we re-booked for our return trip to Stockholm after visiting Helsinki. We love the location, the wonderful T/Bar downstairs with great people-watching, cool drinks and pretty darned good food, and the rooms with the... more

Our 5 day trip to Stockholm and our stay at the Diplomat was a birthday present to ourselves as we both celebrate our birthdays in February. Our 11 year old daughter was also with us. We chose this hotel for its location and we managed to get a good price through expedia with a promotion. Being on Strandvagen meant that... more

My brother and I stayed at this hotel in April of 2009, we booked in late January and got a fantastic deal ( I think it was less that $130 per night). This hotel has a great rating and deservingly so. It is quite posh and trendy, in particular the brasserie on site. In fact, it is a must place... more

Stayed here just for the one night. We got there after dark, so couldn't see the area very well, but the hotel is located by the Quayside, where you can go on boat trips during the summer. The hotel itself was very nice and the staff were very welcoming. The rooms appear to be quite old fashioned, but everything worked... more

I loved this hotel even though the view from the room was rooftops and skyline It was expensive but the cost of living is in these p[laces good room facilities. Lovely Spa and restaurant and and the staff was commendable in their bending backwards to make you comfy. more

We stayed here two nights in April and had an enjoyable stay. The best part of the stay was the bed, which was a Dux. First time that both of us had slept on a Dux bed and we were pleasantly surprised by the comfort...although after checking the retail price of the beds at department store NK, we will probably... more

I went to Stockholm for work with two Colleagues and chose the Diplomat because of the location and excellent price. We all absolutely loved the Diplomat! It was in a perfect location and we walked everywhere. The rooms were quiet, clean and spacious. I would come back to this hotel in a heartbeat! more

My wife and I stayed here several times. It is a nice hotel but the rooms are just too small for the price. We also did not appreciate hearing our neighbor snoring all night! Thin walls... For these reasons and after they took breakfast off the price of the room a month ago we stopped using this hotel . more

Hotel diplomat is located in a luxury shopping district, with louis vuitton and prada within a two minute walk. The hotel is lovely, and rooms are very comfortable. My partner didn't want to get out of bed, as they were soo comfortable! Bathrooms are good, with l'octaine toiletries and hairdryer. Two tube stations are within 5 minute walk, each only... more

We stayed for 2 nights at the Diplomat and were very pleased with the experience. Excellent hotel centrally located. Stylish room, very spacious and comfortable. Delicious, fresh, extensive breakfast selection. We booked an excellent room with waterview on the 3th floor instead of the regular room and it was a lot nicer. The view from our window was beautiful. Our... more
