A basic, inexpensive, hotel but in a very central position within easy walking distance of the Royal Palace, Medieval Museum, the Old Town, the Vasa Museum, harbour tours and the metro. Rooms clean and spacious, with shower and TV. For me, the only issue about the room was a lack of small safe. My room overlooked the courtyard and so... More

The location for the price was the best thing about this hotel. It is within a short walk to Gamla Stan and also very close to a t-bana stop. The breakfast was good and plentiful. Not a hot breakfast aside from boiled eggs, but we enjoyed it for the five days we were there. Staff was friendly and helpful; rooms... More

A good, inexpensive (for Stockholm) hotel with few frills, which is clean, comfortable and, although right in the middle of the city, quiet. This was once a sailors' home, but has been completely refitted to remove all institutional feeling, while retaining many interesting artifacts and pictures

First, the excellent aspects: The most fabulous staff of any place that I have stayed both before and during my stay. They answered all of my questions and they're really nice people. The location. You walk out the door, turn right, and there's the waterfront. One of favorite things here was just walking around the neighborhood. The price. We paid... More

This hotel does not offer many bells and whistles, but it is well located and provides a very good place to stay in Stockholm. About 5 minutes walk to the Royal Palace and Gamla Stan, and less than that to the nearest subway station for traveling further afield. Interior decorations are all in the navy theme, with a veritable mini-museum... More

Nice and clean rooms. Newly renovated on the 5th floor. Clean bathroom with a shower. Breakfast was good. Nothing extra but defenetly not bad. Close to a lot of places and next door to wallmans salonger and a couple of restaurants. You can take a boat from here to Grona Lund and all the way to Sickla. Its nice in... More

This small and quaint hotel is perfect for a family. The location behind the Grand Hotel is perfect, 5 min to Gamla Stan, 5 min to Kungsträdgården, 1 min to the closest underground station. It is not a fancy hotel, but the rooms are spacious and clean, the breakfast buffet is OK and the reception is friendly and helpful. All... More

Nice hotel in the heart of Stockholm. Acceptable price and comfortable rooms. Hotel is close to all interesting atractions in the city (Vasa Museum, Royal palace, ...). Nice place to spend the night after long sightseeing.

We were an extended family group and spent two nights in this lovely old hotel near Gamla Stan. You are a few minutes away from the Grand Hotel, one of the best in town, but are paying a fraction of the price, couldn't ask for more! Our rooms were huge and the breakfast buffet with its plentiful options kept us... More

We (my wife and myself) spent 3 nights in DVO. Don't look any further, it is the best option for staying in central Stockholm without spending a fortune on accommodation. Very prompt answer to booking request by email. Location is perfect: just behind the Grand Hotel. You are at 10 minutes walk to Gamla Stan. 20 minutes walk to Central... More
