It's in no way a fancy hotel, but it's conveniently located and a good value in a very expensive city. From the main train station, the hotel was located in a reasonably walkable distance, though the uphill walk was made more tiring with luggage in tow (we blamed ourselves for not being more fit). Subway was 5 min walk away,... More

We stayed in Backfican in October 2013. This is a small hotel but very efficiently run and well located as well. The rooms are small but very neat and clean. The breakfast was very good. we absolutely loved the yogurt that they served during breakfast. It’s probably the best yogurt we’ve ever has anywhere. Even my husband, who is not... More

Average hotel, probably on the cheap side for Stockholm. Hotels are extremely expensive in stockholm, paying around 125 euro per night for this 2 star hotel is just too much. I expected it to be nicer. And they can't make up for it by putting a teddy bear on the bed ... Walls are made of cardboard, the guys next... More

This is a low standard hotel. They claim two stars, it´s close to one. The room was cleaned, but furniture old and bathroom from the 80s. One good thing though: free wi-fi. I will not stay here again.

This hotel is within walking distance from the railway station and the city centre. Moreover one of the main shopping streets is just around the corner. There is a plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is very good value for money. The rooms may not be very big but the are clean and equipped with a kitchenette.... More

Stayed here for a conference. We walked from the train station with light luggage. The room was a decent size for Stockholm, though in the annex part of the main sister hotel, so its like entering through an apartment. But it was simple but nice and bright. Breakfast in the main building had the biggest range of food on my... More

This hotel was great value for money in Stockholm which is a relatively expensive city. The room was comfy and clean, we had a toilet in our room and shared shower, we could only find one on our floor but never had to wait. As others have said you check in and have breakfast at the next door building (Freys... More

I stayed at the Bakfickan for 5 days. Our stay was helped by the wonderful staff, especially Emily and Agnes. They gave us directions, advice, and made reservations. They spent plenty of time with us. Life was a little complicated as the princess was getting married and traffic was crazy. The place we stayed is like a little studio with... More

I stayed at Bakfickan Hotel for 6 nights and my stay was highly satisfactory. First of all, it’s a budget hotel and you shouldn’t expect 5 star luxury. Considering high accommodation prices in Stockholm, the price of Bakfickan hotel is so affordable (app. 100euro/night). The reception is at the sister hotel next door and reception staff is more than being... More
