Stayed at this hotel and the best thing about it is the receptionist, Katerina, and the location. The rooms are dismal, small, cramped, very basic......be prepared to be snug if you have a booking here! Breakfast is in the bar area, so not very pleasant at all, and this too was basic although seemed fresh. The small town of Lund... More

Stayed here for a week for a work related event recently and loved it! The person working at reception was friendly and chatty. The room, although small, was full of character, definitely not like your typical hotel room. The breakfast at Berlin Bar was really pleasant, had a large selection of Swedish style breakfast items and fresh berries. Although some... More

I stayed here on business for two nights. The room was spacious and clean with a very comfy bed. The location is great, within walking distance of the railway station and right into the midst of things. The owner was actually very nice: we chatted about European locations and he did not mind that because of an organizational mishap I... More

At check-out nobody was on reception. I rang the bell and a man sitting in the restaurant barked at me aggressively in Swedish. Not speaking Swedish (presumably not an uncommon situation for people staying in the hotel) I continued to wait at reception. He then shouted 'I'm busy!!' before finally coming to reception to ask me 'What do you want?'.... More

The owner in the reception was very rud and unpolite. If it hadn't been short of rooms in other hotels I would have left in the doorway!!! Hard to understand why people choose to work in the service sector with that kind if attitude. Old fashion room that smelled bad.

I did not have the same complaints that others did. My room (431, see pictures attached) was large, clean, and in good shape. Not "fancy" decor by American standards, but well appointed. Easily walkable from train station (and most historical sites in Lund and much of the university campus), though the entrance wasn't as pictured on the website, as there... More

I would not stay in this hotel again. it appears modern and trendy and the rooms are nice, with large clean bathrooms. But the reception service is inconsistent, sometimes amateurish, sometimes rude. The Wifi capacity is too limited and for most of my stay I couldn't get online, allegedly because 'other guests were overusing the service'. The lock fell out... More

We booked the hotel online and found it easily from the train station just a short distance away on foot. Our first night was not very satisfactory as we had a room that was on the street right above the doorway to a pub. The ventilation in the room was poor and keeping the windows open meant that we heard... More

Clean, cozy, and very conveniently located. Good quality breakfast (a bit weak on the sweet department). Reliable wifi service available throughout the hotel. I have only one complaint: breakfast is served from 8am at the weekends, I had to leave at 7 and was not even offered a cup of coffee and sone bread (or a discount, in fact).

This once elegant and charming hotel (known then as Petri Pumpa) has not received any TLC since new ownership some 8 years back. Moreover, this very owner is rude and unpleasant to the degree that he was the talking stock at breakfast tables when I stayed there just now in March 2014. Makes Basil Fawlty of Fawlty Towers look really... More
