Traditional local style large two floor hotel on the countryside. Surroundings are very nice with even a small river on the hotel grounds. Our doubleroom had not been re-decorated since the late 80´s. Good sleepingquality inspite the fact that swedish hotelrooms seldom have air-condition. Breakfast was very good and fresh.

It's a lovely hotel and restaurant in a lovely setting, living up to claimed high standards. After many visits we never found any reason to regret a stay. Just lovely! Oh yes - one thing: the reataurant is closed on Sundays. That's a pity!

Look. It's clean, rooms are nice, breakfast is good. Just a little erm....boring. Maybe because it ticks all the boxes I'm being unfair. It's very close to a great town (with a terrible name in English) which hosts the Swedish tennis open. Besides that, a little like a guesthouse in Worthing. What was odd is that the restaurant looked like... More

Reception: Friendly and helpful staff with quick check in. Room: (#20) Big clean room fulfils all basic needs. Free WIFI and breakfast included. Basic minibar with expected minibar prices. Clean bathroom with bathtub. Towels cleaned everyday when needed. Staff obeys the "The do not Disturb" sign. No air conditioning available which can make the room quiet hot in Summer. Staff:... The Trioplast Management Conference took place in this hotel in early March 2014. The facilities were excellent, starting with good parking and an efficient and friendly check in. The rooms are modern, comfortable and well appointed and the bar and lounge area is very appealing and friendly. The buffet-style lunch was superb, with a bewildering choice of hot and cold... More

My customer hosted a conference for 40 people at this conference centre, which will undoubtedly also be visited by tourists. The staff is very friendly and will help whenever required. The rooms are well equipped, the bathroom with a shower is basic but okay for the purposes. Breakfast, coffee breaks, lunch and dinner were complete, a good variety of food... More

Here for a wedding weekend. I was amazed by the extent of the garden -a true jump into nature. This hotel works a lot for Companies' retreats and can definitely give isolation and inspiration. Very professional staff in all compartments. Very nice common areas, indoor and outdoor. All courtyards have flowers and are very well taken care of. It looks... More

South Sweden has many high standard accommodations but not that many in the very middle of nature. This is one of them. Idyllic located in a tranquil park and surrounded by woods and green fields, Margretetorp is an obvious base for exploring neighboring Hallandsaasen, idyllic peninsula of Bjärehalvön and the town of Ängelholm. The inn has moved around a few... More

This inn is very typical Swedish and the history for the Swedish inns in general, goes back to the 16th century, when the king Eric XIV founded a law that demanded the Swedish communities to offer places where travelers could find over-night accommodation, food and beverages and also change horses. Margretetorp Gästgifvaregården is just a such inn! The atmosphere is... More
