small, depressing room with a "hospital feeling", long corridors with a lot of heavy doors, very practical when you have a suitcase... Nice staff and breakfast room, tough. Also, they have a room where you can put your suitcases for the day and pick them up later

We are two adults and two kids. Excellent room apartment-alike. Very good beds and bathroom. Private area from hotel. Very good breakfast like a brunch. Parking included. Lovely front-end. Everything worked very well there.

Outdated, simple sofa bed, bed both oudated, kichenett out of order setisfied breakfast continental with everything to choose. Deacent for one night and 100€. I would stay againg. I would propose sodexo to invest a euro in better cleaning and mantainance.

Stayed here 4 nights; reception staff accommodating and friendly. Venue is very convenient to hospital and university and about 25 minutes brisk walk to city centre - access to free cycles on a 'first come- first served free-of-charge' arrangement. Only had breakfast at hotel however it was good, with a range of foods typical of a 'conventional' continental breakfast. Had... More

Stayed here for one night during work exchange. Had 4 nights in hotel Pillen but sadly they didn't have room for my final night. Hotel Bjorken is quite dated and could benefit from some TLC. No kettle in room, single room small and sparse. Bathroom is poor- like bring in hospital, not a hotel. Just checked and could have got... More

Ok standard if you´re not too picky. Cupboard quite small. Small fridge in the room. Sauna and small gym included. Breakfast is absolutely ok. Good for people who need to be close to the hospital, otherwise quite far from the center of the town.

Very, very strange hotel. The first time we meet such a service ... We arrived late at night, have long been on the road, we were exhausted and very tired. The room did not have a kettle, no mini bar, no cooler in the lobby, there was no place to drink water, even for the money (at the reception said:... More

Very clean, nicely decorated rooms and helpful staff. Close to the University, town and the excellent Vasterbotten Museum and the open air museum at Gammlia. Also good for walks along the river and around the forest-fringed lake to the east. Breakfast is also very good, better at weekends when the majority of residents, who are patients at the nearby Norrland... More

Hotell Björken is on Umeå University campus, so you're probably most likely to stay here if you're participating in some university event and the university books you in here. It's one of those spartan Scandinavian hotels, where a single room means a single bed and the bathroom has the necessities and nothing more, not even an extra towel. Everything you... More
